Where do you find your best deals/shoes you really like?
Is it better to go to stride rite vs. payless??
I just feel like 34.99 for one pair of shoes is so much!!

I buy stride rite but on sale or at the outlet. I wish I could try them out so I can tell the difference! But the way I see it I want my kids to be active, so I want them to be in comfortable shoes. I didn't care before they started walking though.

I buy stride rites as well but wait for the 20% off coupons then use the $5off when you do an online survey and chose ones on sale so I usually can get shoes for around $20 each (then sell them at the local resale shop when the boys are done)

Jacob is wearing my older son's first pair of shoes. Henry, we bought a pair of stride rite shoes since his feet were smaller than my older son's ever were. Normally, I shop the stride rite outlet for the best deals.

I've boughten a pair or two of shoes for myself from payless and have found that they are uncomfortable and I end up not wearing them. Not sure if it's the same for them but I don't want their feet to hurt and than not want to wear shoes. We found a pair of Nike's that were on sale for $26 at Shopko. We did try to find shoes at Stride Rite but they didn't have their sizes at the Outlet.

We bought stride rite in the past when we were near an outlet. We needed new shoes this week, and I didn't want to drive that far in the rain (freeways are bad here!). I ended up going to a skechers outlet and really like what we picked out for the twins. We bought them each a pair of brown tennis shoes (the girls version has sparkly pink and a few flowers) that can be worn casual or dressed up a little bit. Plus I bought a pair of boys sandals on clearance for $5. We were out the door with 3 pairs of shoes for $46 including tax.

My guys spend most of their time barefoot or in socks (we have in-home care) so I usually just buy cheap shoes from Old Navy or Target. :pardon: It's not like they're running a marathon, so I figure I don't need to buy the more supportive shoes on the market. Once they start school I'll probably invest in something more sturdy.
