My girls are currently wearing size 7-7.5 shoes. My mom got them a pair of boots (more like "accessory" boots, not snow boots) for Christmas and I love them, but they aren't that practical and they won't get much use out of them. I was thinking about taking them back and getting a size 9 in hopes of using them next fall/winter.

They are 2.5 now and wearing a 7-7.5. I figure they will probably be into an 8 by spring/summer...so I was thinking a 9 for fall/winter. Will their feet grow that fast? I have NO idea!

Mine are currently wearing 8 and 9. Last year, they were 6.5 and 7.5 so it's definitely possible your girls feet will grow that much. I think it's a good idea to get the bigger size.

I have no clue. My girls were sized at stride rite at the end of the summer as Dani being an 8 1/2 and sydney being a 8. Except for the sneakers my mom bought them that day Dani is wearing an 8 and Sydney is wearing an 7 1/2.
I have a pair of shoes that I bought them, that I got Sydney an 8 and Dani a 9. Well Dani has been wearing the 8 and they still are too big for Sydney.

Could you just wait to return them until you need new shoes?

When my oldest 2 were 3 and 4 years old, we got the each a pair of shoes and they literally grew out of the within a week! Talk about a growth spurt. Kids are like that. Its so hard to say what they rate is that their feet will grow.

Just to give you sizes of mine now...

    Sara is a size 7
    Owen is a size 7 1/2
    Lily (almost 4) is a size 10

I just bought them new shoes 2 weeks ago.

BTW! I love your ticker. How are you feeling and how is the baby? Update me!! LOL

Jack is a 10 and Zack is an 11.

My dad bought them expensive Harley Davidson boots for Christmas and got them in a size 1... of course they are really big, but we will get a lot of use out of them.

Maybe you could get a gift card and use it next year.

In the past year we had major growth when it came to shoe sizes. We started off 2007 in 7W and Katelyn is now in a 9 1/2W and Blake is a 9W.

Shoes are tough. I never imagined my boys would be in 9-10 (depending on the shoe) before they were 2.5. I'd see if I could exchange them for a gift card.

If you could I would just see if I could get a gift card. My oldest went through a major growth spurt in the last year. He is just 3.5 wearing a 12 (we bought in October) and he already needs new shoes. The shoe store said that expect a child from 2-5 to grow .5-1.5 size every 3 months. That is why I asked for shoe store gift cards for Christmas.

Their Christmas shoes last year were a size 7 for DD and 7.5XW for DS. This year's Christmas shoes were a 9 for DD and a 9.5XW for DS. So in one year they grew two sizes.

This year, Ainsley wore the size 7 dress shoes that Bea wore last Christmas. It is hard to guess, and if you guess too small, you will be out of luck. I would either exchange them for more practical shoes, or get the gift card. I'm sure your mom will understand.

My girls were just sized again at Striderite store and Addison is 9 and Chloe is 8.5 (6 mos ago, Addie was 8.5 and Chloe was 8).

My girls wear a 6 wide now. I just got them new Dora tennis shoes in size 7. They didn't have a wide size. I would take the boots back for something more practical.

Anthony is an 8. Last winter, he was a 7.5, so I guess his feet don't grow that fast. Ethan wears a TEN! And over the summer, he was in size 9. So, his feet seem to be in a hurry to grow up!! So I'd say it's hard to guess that far ahead.

Connor and Chloe are 3 1/2yo and wearing size 10 in USA and 9 in Australia (sometimes hers is bigger cuz she has wider feet!).
