[SIZE=12pt]Mikayla has been interested in potty training since about 20 months. She went on the potty once or twice for a few weeks, then stopped cold turkey. I don't know why. Then 2 days ago I was home sick, and I decided to put big girl panties on her. She went all day on the potty. She was dry and no mistakes. We did put a pull up on her at night. Yesterday the same thing. Today she met with successes again! I think she is pretty much potty trained!!

    Woo Hoo Mikayla!!

Yes, let us know your process. Does she now tell you when she has to go or do you just take her at certain intervals? I'm trying to catalog everyone's suggestions for when I need them. ;)

[SIZE=12pt]On Monday I said to her, "We are going to put on big girl panties, just like mommy." (I showed her my panties, and she has seen me go potty many times.) Then I said, "You have to stay dry and tell mommy when you need to go pee pee (yellow as she calls it) or poopie."

But I asked her at different intervals during the day. The first day, it was every hour on the hour...sometimes I would ask her every 30 minutes. She would either say, "No" or run straight to the bathroom.

We have a gum ball machine in the bathroom with jelly bellies in it. If she has a success, she gets some jelly beans.

We are at the point now where sometimes I ask her, and sometimes she just tells me. A few times she said she had to go, and we sat there waiting. I said, "Ok, Mikayla I guess you really didn't need to go, thank you for trying." Then she said, "NO WAIT it's coming!!!" Sure enough she did potty!!

We are still using pull-ups during the night. We changed to pull ups for naps, but she has been dry every time she wakes up.

So basically that is how I did it!! I'm SOOOOO happy!!

I hope its that easy too.

Dylan woke up dry this morning so he went pee pee on the potty. About 40 min later I checked him and he was still dry so back to the potty. He went pee pee again but 10 min later his diaper was wet.
