No matter what i do Sydney will not leave on any pair of shoes. It is so hard to get some were and fight with her in the car to get the shoes back on. and forget about her leaving them one if she is sitting down. Of course then Dani wants to take her shoes off.
    help!

Maybe you could find a pair that she can't get off. Hopefully its just a stage. Jessy has found she can unbuckle her sandals but she leaves them on her feet

Mine went through this stage too and it does pass. We had gone through many car rides with an "Uh oh, my shoes came off". We would just make sure that before I unfastened them from their carseats the shoes were back on. And, if we were going someplace fun I would tell them if they weren't wearing shoes then they weren't allowed in and we'd have to go home. I'm sure that Sydney probably just discovered a new trick she can do so she's practicing taking her shoes on and off. Somethng else to consider though. Has she been measured recently? Maybe the shoes that she has are uncomfortable?

I hope that this passes quickly for you. :)

Another thing, does she wear them alot at home? If so she might just want some freedom. Or its a toddler thing and taking her shoes off is something she can control.

Thanks for the ideas. This has been going on for a while! It is every single pair of shoes. We just had her sized at stride rite.

    Yep same here!

I dont bother anymore. I pack their bag with shoes and socks in the bag (which i give to them as we drive to play with). Then i put the shoes on the 'easy' boy. the one who doesnt take them off too much. Then onto the more "shoeless' boy. As soon as he has his shoes on, i unbuckle them and we go. He walks and walks and walks. Then as soon as we are in the car again, he takes them off.

I hated shoes on and still do to this day!! If I don't have to wear shoes I don't. So I never force the kids to wear them if they don't need to. My nephew hates shoes too and I never force him to wear them. I let him take them off if we are sitting somewhere and are going to be there for a while or if he is gonna be in the stroller. As long as he isn't walking anywhere he has them off and I don't mind. I figure why fight it cause I totally understand! He is 2 1/2 years old and has been fighting since he was a baby. So I only fight it if he needs them on and then it's less of a fight because he had them off for so long it is easier to convince him to wear them.
