So Ive been trying to teach my DD to say Hi and hold her hand up whe she does it. So for Hi we just raise our hand, but for byebye we hold up the hand and wave the fingers forward. Hope that makes sense. Im trying to make them different for her.

Anyways when my DH came home from work the other night she quickly crawled to the door and he picked her up. I said say hi dad.
She raised her little hand right up and said " Hi Da-da" and smiled! It was too cute!

Last night we were on the phone with gma & gpa and I said say Hi, (shes obsessed with the phone, so shes clammering to get it the whole time) but she raised her hand to the phone and said HI. LOL - the grandparents were just in awe.

Is hi a common first real word (besides mama, dada)?? I'm so proud!

I can totally see her trying to wave at the phone… too cute!

Seth has been saying HI for 2 m... and i didn’t think it could be a first word... but whenever anyone walks in the room, he turns to them and says HI (no waving)... so i say that’s a word... we were at a family gathering yesterday in a back room of a restaurant and every time the waitress came in... HI.
Of course to all the family you think he walked on water and found a cure for cancer they way they went on about it
