My daughter seems to leans forward a lot. When she is in her high chair, she will lean forward and suck on the piece between her legs (plastic piece to prevent sliding out), when shes sitting on the ground she will lean forward (down to her toes) and chew on toys, when she is standing on our laps, she ducks her head and leans into us...anyone else's kids do this??? Is this no big deal? Will she be a gymnist??? [IMG]

Possibly! A gymnast or a contortionist [IMG]

Actually, I think it has to do with building strength. She'll get there and be stronger! [IMG]

I am SO glad to hear someone else's baby does this!!! My daughter constantly leans forward in her swing, bouncy seat, car seat and it drives me NUTS!!! I think she looks so uncomfortable and am afraid her airway will be cut off by her doing this. If you find a way to get yours to stop, give me a heads up.

My DD does the very same. I know she is not quite as strong as DS. She just doesn't seem to have as much head control as DS; however, I can see it improving.

I think Diane is right....once her little back gets stronger, I think she will sit up straighter! [IMG]

My DD used to do this. She no longer does it, not too often anyway. It's about gaining strength to sit up solo.

Both of my kiddos did that until their back muscles were strong enough.....for mine it was about the 7 mo mark. Hang in there they'll be sitting up great in no time.

My DD does this too, she is smaller and not as strong as DS. Also, she was the one all squooshed in my stomach and always kept herself in a ball even after she was born. [IMG]

I'm glad to hear that this is normal because mine do the same thing.

Bryce is doing this amd now I'm not so worried about it! I always think the pressure will make him upchuck all the milk he just drank!
