We went to Applebee's today for lunch and a group of Red Hat Society ladies came in and sat near us. Of course they noticed we had twins and one of the ladies, of course, asked "twins?" Another spunky little lady sitting across from her said "No, right? You just borrowed one for the day!" and rolled her eyes at the other lady! (ETA: They were in matching outfits, matching bows, etc. I did the whole nine yards.)

So then spunky lady continues with...wow, I can see she looks like you and she looks just like daddy (and she was right), so they are fraternal, right? Yep! You can see that she is just slightly bigger, but not by much. Right again! It was so nice to have a conversation with someone that took the time to look before she spoke. I enjoyed talking with her so much that I brought the girls over to say hi to the whole table. And of course I ate up all the "oooohs and aaaaahs". :D I wanted to adopt her as pseudo-grandma.

I want to adopt that lady as a quasi-grandma too! I love the good comments and "you're so lucky!" remarks. They make all the "you've got your hands full etc." comments hardly noticeable.

Don't you wish you could slip her in your pocket and pull her out when people say weird or rude things? Get 'em pseudo-granny!

Awww, cute. It is nice when you do run into a "twin expert." :D I bet it was nice to get some positive attention too.

Although I'm still pregnant with my twins, I had a nice experience at church the other day. There's this very nice older couple that we talk to alot (we're new there) and she pretty much just admitted that she knows NOTHING about twins. She just asked questions and was very interested. Much more preferable to those that really don't know anything but think they do!
