This is kinda of a question that continues from the spoon question asked last week. Everyone (for the most part) seems to share a spoon and bowl with their twins. So what else do you let them share? Do you worry about pacis? I have pretty much given up and just grab a paci. I do wash them often but I can say that the same one went back and forth a couple times yesterday.

Mine share EVERYTHING...there are too many other things to do than worry about germs. I try to wash the hard plastic toys once in a while and I throw the soft stuff in the washing machine when I think of if but unless we're dealing with an illness I try not to stress too much about it. We go out to playgroups and my older son is in daycare a couple of days a week so there is an infusion of germs here, lol! Once they get older I'm sure your babies will be grabbing each others soothers and switching mouths...at least my girls think this is a very fun game!

When they were sick a coupls of months ago I had them at the doctor (not my own Dr.) and when he went to sanitize his hands between assessing babies...I told him not to bother, that they share everything, even soothers. He looked at me like I had two heads and just started shaking his head saying "No, No, No!". I told him he was welcome to spend 24 hours at my house trying to keep things seperate and then get back to me (I was a little irritable and sleep depreived, usually I'm much nicer :)). He shut up pretty quickly after that, lol! He obviously didn't have twins!

I figure they are sharing all the same toys - chewing on them, etc., so I don't worry about them sharing much of anything else either. I do keep separate boogey bulbs and saline sprays for cleaning out their noses, but that is about it. We don't usually share bowls and spoons, just because I like to know how much each of them are eating, not because I worry about the germs or anything.

I don't use the same kleenex on both. That's about it.

    Unless we have an illness.

We shared everything and even then one would get sick and one wouldn't. It is way too hard to have them not share. Mine used to grab a binky out of the others mouth and put it in their own. Even now they will offer the other one a bite off what they are eating.

We share everything. If one is crying and I can't find another paci I'll pull the one out of the other baby's mouth and give to her sister. But then these are babies 6&7 for me so I got over the fear of germs along time ago.

The twins make number 4 & 5 so I know what you mean. I have given the one the other's paci often. I haven't taken it out of the one's mouth to give to the other but I'm sure I will at some point. lol My MIL keeps asking who's who and I say it doesn't matter. She hasn't given up on keeping things separate yet.

I just wanted to make sure I am bad. I know better than to say anything to the pedi. No sense getting a lecture over something I'll never change.

Pacifiers we ended up designating a certain color due to thrush. And sippy cups/bottles as well. So now they know blue is for one, green is for the other. Other than that-they shared everything. It was pointless to try not to-it was more of a hassle than anything!

Mine make a game of switching pacis. They did it for about five minutes this morning giggling away. They share toys, pacis, and teethers. They don't share theometers or nose aspirators, but that's about it.
