When my sister's twins started eating solids a couple years ago, I was a bit grossed out when my sister used one bowl and one spoon for them. When I cared for them I used different stuff, and she would laugh at me. (My dd was almost the same age, so she had a pink one, one of the twins had green, etc.) She used to say that they stole each other's pacifiers anyway!

Now that I am a twin mom, I see her point! It is a pain to have two bowls and two spoons of the same stuff. I find myself feeding the wrong one with the wrong spoon anyway!

What do all of you do????

I use the same bowl and spoon...so much easier, plus they are starting to put everything in their mouths anyways, so I don't think it's a big deal...

I personally always used different spoons just in case one of them was sick. They usually got what the other had anyway, but I think it's probably a good idea for them to have their own spoons, cups, etc. :)

I never occurred to me to use two honestly.
For meals they share spoons, bowls, and a sippy of water.

I fed them separately (each of them having their own spoon) until they really got the hang of eating and then I just used the same for both. At first I was so opposed to it because I figured if one was sick, I didnt want him to infect the other. But once they got mobile is was a losing battle anyway, so I just simplified the feeding aspect.

Share here also. Even if they're sick, they're drooling on the toys and sucking each other's fingers so you bet they probably caught the bug anyway.

Sharing spoons? What? Drugs? Already??? Aren't they a bit young for that? :)

One spoon, one bowl. When they are sick we skip solids. And I know this is completely wierd - they can eat the same food with the same spoon, but it is two bottles, two cups. Always. And I spend more time than I care to admit preventing them from sharing drinks. Don't have a clue why. :unknw:

Same bowl, same food, same toys - it all goes into their mouths anyway - so I figure it wouldn't do me any good to use a different spoon 3xday when the remainder of the day they are putting the same toys into their mouths. Now they can just get used to each other's germs quickly! :)
