    Hey
Just wondering... if one baby has a smaller feed and the other has finished their bottle and still wants more do you give them the remainder of the others feed?
I'm making 4oz bottles at the moment and my baby boy is probably finishing one of those a couple of times a day but is still a bit hungry afterwards. My baby girl hardly ever finishes that amount so instead of giving my baby boy another bottle I sometimes finish him off with the girls leftovers... or if one has a big puke i'll top them off with the leftovers. anyone else done this and can anyone see any real problems with that? just don't want to waste bottles... i know i could just make larger feeds but he doesn't have full 4oz feeds all the time so i'm still wasting a feed...
hope that makes sense... on lack of sleep... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I always shared bottles. If one boy didn't finish, I'd offer it to the other. Especially with EBM; no way I was gonna pour that down the drain!

I just made sure I didn't leave too long between making up a bottle and finishing. No more than an hour.

I did the exact same thing. It was easy to do when I was feeding them at the same time. Ditto on the EBM! Not a drop of that got wasted!

I did it too. If one had had thrush or something I would have not done it until that was cleared up but that wasn't an issue for us. Any typical every day germs were being shared anyway so why not make life a little easier for a new sleep deprived mommy?

Same goes here! They also get whichever soother is handy :p I figure that you don't clean your breasts after feeding baby A and before feeding baby B so I do the same with bottles/ soothies.

I also give leftover bottles (precious EBM!) and my girls share pacifiers.

Yep! My boys are breastfed, but I will pump & give them a bottle now & then. Usually, one little guy won't finish his 4 oz., but the other one finishes his & is always satisfied with about 1 more oz. Therefore, I'll top him off with his brother's leftovers. I'm not about to waste any EBM! :) However, I'm sure I wouldn't do it if one of them is not feeling well.

Unless one is really sick we share bottles for leftovers. We share spoons/bowls also. I figure they suck on the same toys and steal each others Paci's so what's the difference.

My boys share everything as well! Bottles, bowls, spoon, pacis (although they're beginning not to like them).

I do it too with my BM, but they are on different formulas for suppliments and if I give them each others formulas it upsets their tummies so I usually end up throwing it out :(

What's odd is that one of the MANY twins/multiples books I read mentioned having separate colored bottles for each baby so you'd know whose was whose. I was like WTH?! I just think that's unrealistic and unnecessary.

Twin moms are all about practicality! :D

I haven't done it, but I was wondering the same thing! I'm glad you asked!

This is good to hear, because since we've started solids we've been feeding them alternating bites with the same spoon... one bite for Lucy, one bite for Nora, etc... do other people do this as well? Seems like it would take forever to feed the babes any other way... is this wrong??

Mine share as well. I have one that will only take a bottle some of the time. I hate wasting expressed breast milk and my other boy is only too happy to drink it.

Oh we share bottles, pacis, everything. The only time I wouldn't do it, as people said, was if one was sick. And I agree, I pump and not a drop of breastmilk is wasted!

I did it all the time. Especially if I had a bottle of breastmilk because I wanted to make sure at least someone finished that bottle.
