Shareing a Crib?

This may be a dumb question but if twins share a crib, how do they lay. Feet to feet, side by side, head to head. I really haven't a clue.

Gosh I just feel like there is a lot I dont know and I will be 28 weeks saturday. I am starting to freak out.

 

First of all, Congratulations for making it to 28 weeks!! :yahoo: That is a huge milestone!!

As far as sharing a crib, my girls were only able to share a crib until they became mobile. After they started rolling and moving there was no way that I could let share a crib because they were rolling onto each other and waking each other up

ETA: I know that there are several moms on here that have had success with long term crib sharing...I just wasn't one of them.

You and me both!!! I kind of planned on them sharing a crib (we've only bought one so far...) but hadn't even begun to think about that!!

 

Mine shared until 3 mos when DD kept moving over to DS, and I'd find her buried in his arm. I put them sideways in the crib laying side by side. I didn't feel like I could put them side by side if they were not sideways in the crib because then they would be too close to the sides and bumpers.

 

My girls weren't able to share a crib past 2 months - after that they kept moving around and would bump into each other. I had them laying side by side but at an angle to allow more room. Then I had them in opposite directions - feet to feet. After the 2 months, we bought them used bassinets from craigslist and kept them in our room until about 4 months and then they went into their own crib. Hopefully you'll have better luck and can go further than 2 months.

 

My girls shared a crib until around 2.5 months & they would lay side by side. They had plenty of room (even in the pack n play bassinet) during those first couple months
