I am not sure I can even accurately explain what is going on but here goes. Every once in a while when Blake is nursing ( it is rare and has only been going on for the last month or so at best) he will start to shake. His whole body will shake. He doesn’t stop nursing, and he doesn’t open his eyes if he is dozing. He doesn’t even seem to notice it. It comes on suddenly and then just goes away. I haven’t found anything that is triggering it and it happens very rarely but it is startling to see and I am wondering if I should talk to his dr about it. I have never seen it happen any other time then when he is nursing and he is a super alert and active little guy. I don’t want to make something out of nothing but then again I don’t want to ignore something that could be a precursor to a issue. .

I would bring it up to the Ped and if anything at least they can put your mind at ease instead of worrying about it. :hug99:

This JUST happened to Roman today, and I freaked out. I am curious to see what others say.

I'd call the pedi just to be sure. I have no idea what it could be. Is it like a shutter? Does he seem to have gas? :hug99:

Well I sent a message to my doctor and he said since it only happens when he is nursing is probably nothing serious, kids do weird things for no reason, but if I can tape it the next time it happens and drop it by his office so he can take a look and decide for sure.
Not sure how I am suppose to achieve that but I will try.

I was going to suggest to try to tape it if you can. I'm hoping to catch a screaming fit (seems like she's in pain) that DD2 has when she's eating. I have a digital camera that can take a few minutes of video. I'm keeping it on the table next to the chair I use to feed them and hope that I can get some video the next time it happens. Good luck. I hope it turns out to be nothing.

okay, this is going to sound REALLY stupid and weird, but when i was desperately trying to get my girls back to bf-ing, i did all the reading i could, and actually came across somewhere that said that while a baby breastfeeds, they can have something called "mouth orgasms" (the lips quiver), and maybe he's having something like that, tho thru his whole body? i know, i'm sorry, it sounds nuts! but that's just the first thing i thought of...

My oldest ds sometimes had his lower lip tremble whenever he got very sleepy while nursing or sucking a paci. The ped said it was just a nervous system thing and as long as it only happened when he was tired, not to worry. He grew out of it, but still sucks his finger when tired.

I'm glad the ped thinks he's okay. Don't be afraid to call again if you are worried :hug99: .
