So, how uncomfortable can we possibly get?????!!!!! My poor DH has had to deal with a major cut back in the intimacy department because I bled at 9 weeks, 17 weeks, 22 weeks... and now 33 weeks...... The doctors cannot tell me why I keep bleeding. The baby was totally fine the last three times I went to the ER for bleeding so I opted to not rush out to see them this time around. Only thing is, I am in a little pain this time. I feel like I pulled some muscles or something in my lower abdomen. The baby is still kicking and all... The bleeding was hardly anything to freak out about, but I can't help but be a little concerned about the strange lower ab pain. Anyone else get any weird pains after intercourse? Everything I've read tells us that sex is safe during pregnancy - even encouraged. But I am still a little worried. My stomach isn't getting any lighter and finding a position that isn't totally awkward has become impossible!!! It's been so long since I had the twins, I don't remember what braxton hicks even feel like.. maybe that is what I'm experiencing... I don't know.

I just need to get this off my chest as it's sort of bugging me at the moment. Thanks for reading.

My DH is so sex deprived it's really awful!! As for the cramping/bleeding...I have had a lot of lower abd. cramping and BH contractions since 19 weeks, my OB says it's common after a twin pg to have an "irritable" uterus due to lack of tonicity. And as long as the BH don't get stronger and closer together and there is no fluid leaking try not to worry. As for the bleeding, it is also common to spot, especially if your cervix is "accessible enough" to be, well.... poked (sorry for the crudeness of that!). It happened to be with my last pg every time. it is still diturbing, I know...but hang in there!

my docter. advised us to stop having sex after 20 weeks. he said there is not fomal documentation that it helps. but, he has seen time and time again that women last more weeks with out sexual intercouse. he only advises his twin moms to do so. but, his practice is over 50% twin moms.

i made it to 38 weeks - but, who knows that could have just been luck.

I have no complications and we cut back drastically for comfort sake... so I totally understand why you have! I hope your dh understands but there are more things than just intercourse that you two can do!!

Man i wish sex was an option for me. Im going crazy, 10 weeks already and another 13 to go (unless I deliver right after my cerlcage is taken out) anyways, with my last DS, I bleed everytime we DTD. Doc says it was because my cervix was stimulated. Never did any harm, but sure was uncomfortable and scary after.

No real advice, just I feel the pain, it's been almost 18 or 19 weeks and another 15 or 16 to go.
