I have a cough that is getting worse and worse every night. It's not too bad during the day, but by night I am up ALL NIGHT LONG coughing so hard that I vomit (not every time). My throat hurts from the coughing and let's just say I've had to change my undies a few times! :)

I've tried taking some cough medicine and cough drops, and seriously, I might as well be drinking water...they do NOTHING to help.

It's Sunday: should I go to Urgent Care or the ER? Or, nothing at all???

A friend of mine, who is pregnant with a singelton, ended up going to urgent care because of a cough that was getting worse. They gave her a stronger cough medication and an inhaler to help her breathe a little better. I suggest you go to the Dr.

You don't want it to get worse or turn into bronchitis...

I would go to urgent care.

GO TO URGENT CARE~~~ You want to make sure you don't have any fluid in your lungs causing a serious infection!

UPDATE: I called my OB's office and they called back after leaving a message with the weekend answering service...basically, unless I'm running a fever, it's just a bad virus that's going around. She is calling in a prescription cough medicine to help, but that otherwise, time, rest, and water is all I need.

's I'm glad you called and I hope that the meds work for you. If you are still concerned after taking them and it's still not helping, do not hesitate to call them again. :good:
