hi, my boys are 2 and we were looking to take them somewhere for a mini-vacation as a pre-cursor to D-World next year.. we live in TX so we will have to fly if we go to sesame place.. those that have been.. is it worth the flight there? Can the park be done in 1 day?

I say no, its not worth a whole trip just to Sesame place but if you throw in a tour of Philly and maybe a trip to the Jersey shore, YES! But not just Sesame Place, its cute but in a day you can do the whole park.

Come join us! You can get the "award" for farthest traveler :)

You can do SP in one day, but it also wouldn't be bad to split it into 2 days. We have been going annually since my boys were just under 2, and we never do everything. In fact, we have yet to make it to a show--they boys have too much fun with the rides.

I am not into the Jersey shore (we are spoiled by my IL's owning a beach house in Charleston, SC, so are used to the beaches there). If you wanted to make a trip of it, I would visit Philly, or you could do a day trip at the Crayola factory in Easton, take a ride out to Lancaster, or even Hershey. There is plenty to do around here :)

Depending where on the Jersey shore you go, there a lot of great places. Most of the really great places will have board walks with lots of places to eat and some even have rides for all ages and lots of cute little stores (some very touristy). It's on the beach so that in itself is a fun couple of days. The only one that is coming to mind is Wildwood, NJ although I have been to others. But not sure how close that is to SP.
