UGH! That would make me one grouchy momma! I am so not a morning person. What are his naps like? What times, how long etc...? It might be more of a nap issue.

Naps are regulated by daycare so 12-2:30. . . they say he's the last one to get up. . . probably because he's up so flippin early. . . thinking about pushing back bedtime which is at 7:30 but they talk in their beds until about 8:30 anyway so, what's the dif??

Hi - Sorry to hear about your early mornings. that's awful. I'm not sure how you feel about this but you may need to try the cry it out method. 4:45 isn't really even morning so I would treat this as if your little one is waking up in the middle of the night. I did this with my daughter when she suddenly started waking up at 3:30am - at first I would go in and pick her up but then I realized it was becoming a pattern so I let her CIO. It was brutal the first few nights, but slowly it became less and less then eventually she didn't wake up at all at that time.

I agree. I would treat that as a nightwaking. 7 a.m. is morning at our house and I don't let them out of their room before then. I go to my kids when they wake up and make sure they are okay, tuck them back in bed and then leave. Usually they go back to sleep without crying. In your case, there might be some protest since he is used to getting up early.
