I work in a "cube city" and I belch all day long. It drives me crazy, as well as all my neighbors I'm sure. It is getting so annoying. I try not to overeat, and break my food up into smaller meals during the day, but it does not matter how little I eat I burp and burp and burp. The funny thing is I cannot burp unless I'm pregnant! I burp more in one day of being pregnant, than I do the entire rest of my life. Help please, any ideas?

    Eek!

    (Ha ha, just kidding.)

There are certain OTC things you can take for heartburn/indigestion -- GasX (those dissolvable strips are great!), TUMS, Rolaids, Pepcid-AC, and Zantac. Can't hurt to try GasX!

    Good luck!

No ideas, sorry -- I just had to laugh -- I had forgotten about that. My trouble now is that I got into the habit (because I couldn't really help it, and it made my tummy feel better) of belching whenever I needed to while I was pg. (I tried to do it quietly if there were other people around.) And now I still do it in front of DH, who thinks it's gross!

ROTFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dr put me on an Rx called Protonix (I think that was the name) it was for heartburn. It was indeed a lifesaver. This was 2 1/2 years ago, but you might go ahead and ask for something. It all stopped about 3 days after the babies were born! SO maybe there is some relief for you to!

Thank goodness I don't work, I'd have my coworkers puking! lol

Me and my sister burp a TON when we're pregnant. My stomach turns and turns and I'll stand up or sit up straighter and out comes the biggest burps ever. Not to mention when I take tums or even drink my water I still get huge belches. Sometimes they are small, but they always come out when I least expect them. I feel so sorry for my family members who are around me when I'm doing this because I know if it was my nephew doing it around me, my stomach would be turning and I'd wanna puke! But besides one complaint, everyone's put up with me.

i have no ideas, but i can tell you you're not alone! i not only belch real loud, though, i also randomly hiccup like an old man. my poor DH is so disgusted.

ironically enough, my mom laughs about it (she's huge on manners). but she does say that i'm teaching my girls bad manners. heehee

I'm laughing and feeling sympathetic all at the same time.

I don't burp that much right now, but there have been stages where I've done it a lot. And they're mega-sized, SUPER loud ones, and most of the time I have no warning. My DH will just start laughing (in private at least, he's nice in public about it) because they're so darn loud!

Tums have definitely helped with my heartburn, don't know if they'd help with the burping or not...

I had horrible problems with horrible gas (of both varieties) when I took prenatals with the stool softeners added. I switched to one without and the problem went away. I didn't need the softeners either.
