What age did you separte them? Why?

For the past few nights, I am starting to wonder if they are kicking and punching each other. They are moving around a bit more and am starting to think that they are bothering each other.

    Thanks,
    Jenn

i didn't separate until they were almost 4 months old, but we kept them swaddled so they weren't able to bother eachother too much. and to be honest i would have liked to keep them together but they were getting too big to sleep in the same crib.

they never had any problems sleeping after they were separated though, i was worried about it at the time.

We separated our two at five months since they still weren't sleeping through the night -- once separated, they both started going all night. We realized we had one squirmer that was waking up the other. While it was adorable to see them cuddled up together, I wish I had separated them sooner.

I had to separate around 4-5 weeks. They were gaining mobility and were refusing the swaddle at this point. I don't know how people keep kids swaddled til 4-5 months! I wish I could! It would have made things sooo much easier! But mine are four months now and have been rolling over and army crawling since 2.5-3 months. You just can't swaddle a kid that is rolling over and skooching. Anywho, if you are like me and not able to swaddle anymore, I would switch them out now. My kids never even noticed because they were still so young!

3 months, because one was quite a wiggler and kept bumping into his brother, even when swaddled.

They went into their own cribs at that time, and also into the nursery (they shared a crib in my room prior to that). I was an easy transition and we all slept great!

At 6 months. Jake was rolling a lot and disturbing Emma's sleep.

This, exactly! (Except for the rolling over and army crawling...) My DD was so wiggly, she'd squirm right out of her swaddle and wake DS up. So we put them straight into separate cribs. They have done beautifully ever since. :)

I think it was around 3 months old adjusted age. They moved too much and were kicking and punching. It was a very smooth transition.
