Last night, the babies slept in separate cribs :cray:

Ally has been rolling over for the last week, and the last couple of nights they had been coming together in the center and bonking heads, or otherwise waking up....I thought they would last longer in the same crib! They did just fine, i don't think they even noticed a difference, since the other crib was "play space" during the day...

Further traumatizing me is that the video monitor only lets me see one baby now, since if i put it up high enough to get both cribs in the picture, the night vision won't make it that far and i still can't get a good view of them....

For my own sake, they are napping in the same crib during the day...any ideas on the crib-sharing subject? any tips to make it go longer even if they're moving around so much? i feel like they're going to ask me for the car keys tomorrow!! LOL

Awww...that's rough. It's like one of those "they're growing up" moments only twin mommies experience. :hug99:

Maybe a crib divider would work for you?

I saw this product at a baby store and thought it was pretty neat. My DD put her boys in separate cribs last month and wasn't interested in this for her situation, in your case if you would prefer to see both babies on the monitor, it might be worth considering? Or you could always roll a beach towel or blanket up to use as a barrier between them to keep them from rolling together.

    Hope this helps! Good luck!

I used the crib divider with my boys until they would no longer fit in the crib using it! I loved it and so did they! Now their cribs are side by side long ways and they always have hands or feet in the other ones crib!

can they see or touch each other with the divider? if not, i'm sort of liking the rolled up beach towel idea....it's cheaper, plus i don't have a standard size crib (it's as wide as a twin bed)

but yes, it's just a sniffly moment for me, i'm going to go write it in their baby books....

I'm right along with you. My girls slept in their own cribs since Saturday. Sad for me, DH was like "what's the big deal, they're still in the same room". But, I can say, I no longer have the feed that happened at 4:30-6:30am, and they now sleep happily (save for popping in a paci at 5ish) until 7:00am.

I was sad too when mine switched at 4.5 months. I really hoped they could have been together longer. :hug99:
