seeing through a child's eyes...

Ok, so I just spent the last 20 min watching and explaining, in great detail, how a washing machine works.
This will sound strange, it was kind of fun to see it through their eyes.

What mundane things have you rediscovered because of your kids?

 

How to play baseball and how to write...those are just things that I don't think about doing or how they are done. But having to break it down into little parts and explain it made me realize that both are a challenge!

 

UGH! Writing. Personally, I love writing, but I am dreading the thought of having to teach it. Especially with R who is a lefty.

 

I have a lefty here too, and writing has been a challenge! Her teachers at preschool have done a fantastic job though!

I love watching Liam when he's watching a bug. He likes to kick ant hills and then watch the ants move around! Not good when you have fire ants around!!! But I try to make sure he's only kicking at regular ants

I have rediscovered how amazing airplanes are. My girls stop whatever they're doing to watch one fly overhead.

Rain! They LOVE rain. If we're out in it they stop and turn their faces to the sky and just laugh and laugh. If we're inside they like to stand at a window and tell me all about "da rain!!"

:wub: I feel like the whole world is new again with my girls. They laugh so easily and love so generously. I know many people adore tiny babies, but I have to say I love this age the most so far.
