Second NST tomorrow and possible hospital bedrest

Well I had my first NST this Tuesday 31w+5. Both twins had good heartbeats and fluid levels. Also saw both twins doing some practice breathing. We saw Twin A smiling and yawning, Twin B was licking his arm (it was so cute). However, I was contracting every 7 minutes. After getting some IV fluids the contractions reduced in strength. So the peri said that depending on my NST on Friday, if I am still contracting the same way, I will be on hospital bedrest. I am just getting very nervous. I have a 2.8 yr old, no family or friends that can take care of her. DH called and visited some daycare facilities, but either they are very expensive or really bad. I am in such a fix. DH will have to take leave from office, which means lesser help when twins come.
There is so much to do and only a day left. I didnt do any baby shopping, because from the start of this pregnancy I had issues where I was sure these babies wont make it. So just not to add to my depression in case something happened I didnt buy anything. Thankfully, I bought carseat yesterday. I still need to wash my DD old infant carseat. I also created a baby resgistery and I am adding all the stuff we will need down to diapers and wipes, so that DH knows exactly what to get. But just the anxiety of being in the hospital is killing me. I dont know how DD will react to mommy not being home all the time. I was on strict bedrest at home from week 20 to 28. DH was doing everything, but I was at home with DD while he went to work. I am really scared of how he'll manage everything. Basically just scared and anxious of pretty much all the unknowns right now. Plus these double dose of pregnancy hormones are not helping, I am crying my eyes :cray: out and I have to do that in the bathroom so that DD doesn't see me or she starts crying as well. I guess I am just too overwhelmed.

    ohhh :hug99: to you ~
That is a GREAT idea about creating the online registry so that DH will know what to get :) Good thinking momma!! :good:
As you know from having your first baby, babies really don't need all that much ~ so just get the basics & leave all the other stuff for later!
I will be hoping that your NST tomorrow goes well & that you get to come home. Bedrest at home would make life a lot easier I would imagine.
I am sure your DH will manage just fine, it is amazing what we are all capable of when put in a situation that we don't think we can handle :)
Hang in there & please keep us posted.
    Good Luck!!

Monica, I am sorry you are worrying about this. :hug99: It is not easy to hear the word possible bedrest let alone hospital bedrest. You just never know what will happen with a twin pregnancy. If it comes to that I know you and DH will figure things out, somehow we always do. :)

I agree, an online registry was a great idea. Hang in there and try not to worry about it too much right now (I know much easier said than done). :hug99:

I'm sorry Monica. :hug99: I'm definately hoping that by your NST tomorrow your contractions are gone and you can avoid hospital bedrest. :( I agree with Tamara about the registry, I would have never thought of that! You are definately on top of things with that. I hope that things work out for you and your family. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

im sorry to hear and wish you the best
but so you know if you do get admitted into hospital a social worker will stop by your room
tell them your concerns, your husband had take his time off now to watch our other child,
they will figure out a way to have some money coming in and him still be a home now and for a while when babies are born. they will get you parking pass's you name it just ask.
as for being away from your family its hard take a picture of them with you, it helped me alot. i spent 4weeks in the hospital before i was induced, my husband got those for weeks + 1 week at home. he got paid for 2 weeks from company and we got the 3 week by vacation pay and the fourth unemployment covered because of the situation,
good luck hope everything turns out,

    Update
After my NST today I was allowed to go home .......yay!!!!!!!!. :yahoo: . The babies are doing great, good fluid levels and kicking all over the place.
I am 2cm dilated (have been between 1-2 cm since week 20) and 3.9cm long. Contractions have decreased in frequency as the peri increased nifedipine although they are strong but painless. I hope I can keep these babies as long as possible. I have my next NST on Tuesday.
Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I'll keep you guys updated.
