Searching for the right sippy

I'm looking to purchase a good sippy cup for the girls.. and can't decide..

Rubbermaid round juice box:

Decisions.. Decisions.. Any input? Anyone use any of these? I really don't want to waste money on one that leaks.. Intended use is to introduce milk. So essentially there'd be a sippy for water, juice. and another for milk.. at first anyway.

It doesn't leak, unless thrown forcefully. :laughing:

ETA: I buy them at Target, and they're about $10 for a 2 pack. That Amazon link has them priced way high!

 

The Playtex ones listed above are great. They have a non-insulated version that does not leak also. They were all we used.

 

We have the insulated Playtex ones which are great and also use the Munchkin Mighty Grip and I love them.

 

We first used the soft Nuby ones, so it was more like a bottle nipple for transitioning. Once they got the hang of that, they started chewing them and ripped the valve. So, we moved onto the Gerber ones that have a sort of soft spout. My faves right now are the Playtex non-insulated ones with the handles. We haven't gratuated to the non-handle sippy's yet. Although, they love the Munchkin straw sippys without handles. The Playtex ones seem to leak the least. I don't recommend the Dr. Brown sippys. They are the worst.

I haven't had any leak issue with the Playtex ones listed above (By the way, BJ's has packs of four for $12). Mine don't drink from straws yet so unfortunately I have no experience with those. I mostly use the First Years Take'n Toss sippies personally. They do leak, but the flow is better, so I only give milk in their high chairs and water otherwise.

 

I have the Munchkin Mighty Grip cups and they work good and don't leak. I also have some of these http://www.amazon.com/Playtex-Baby-Einstei...0999&sr=8-3 and these http://www.amazon.com/Diego-10oz-Insulated...p/dp/B000JVVT3C . They all work fairly well. The Little Einstein cups seem to be the best.

 

To introduce milk (and for us sippies in general) we used the soft spout Born Free ones and the soft spout Nubys. They do leak when they hit the spout on anything so they were just for the high chairs, but wonderful because they were so easy to drink out of. We also used the Take and Toss ones, again they leak but they drink easily out of them.

When they really got the hang of it. I did all my research and went and bought a ton of the First Years insulated cups and they still can't/won't drink out of them. It's worth a shot though because they have NO VALVES!! Unfortunately I had to return all but the two we tried.

We do have the Nuby straw cups and they do not leak. They are a PITA to clean though if you leave milk in them.

We now have about 16 of the Gerber Sip and Smile cups with a few of the insulated ones. They are super easy to clean and rarely leak. I don't think we could have started with these though.

My guys prefer straws for whatever reason, but those Nuby straws are too wide, and apparently very fun to chew.

We've been using these: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp...WELAID=61281213 since they were about 8 months old. I think they were great to start out with, easy to clean, and the girls do good with them [they get excited and start waving their arms around once the sippies are in sight.. either they Really like the cups, or they Really like the water inside ].
