The boys started screaming/shrieking on the top of there lungs and thinks its funny when i yell @ them to stop..now i am igging them..lol and they get mad @ me and do it more....ahhhhh i can't stand it... i think my neighbors think i am abusing my kids...lol

someone told me to spray them with water from a water bottle..what do you think about that? I think they might like it & scream more so i spray them again..i think the person who told me this thinks i have puppies instead of kids...

    HELP any suggestions PLEASE!!!

Gosh, all I can say is its a phase. My kids dont do it AS much, but they still do. I put mine in timeout when they did it...I dont think there is much else you can do...I also put my hgands over my ears and made a sad face...that seemed to peel curiosity.

Oh I hate the screaming! At that age I would try distraction-try and get them to do something else with their mouths. You could turn on music or just start singing songs they like, try whistling or make funny noises (in the hope that they will copy you) or pull faces. If none of that works then try distracting them with something completely different; jump up and exclaim at something out the window, initiate a game with a toy they like or sit down with a book.

Here's hoping it's a very short phase for you!

It's a phase. An annoying one, but luckily it stops for the most part. It drove me up the wall when they did it, it was usually in the car or at mealtimes when you can't escape them. The only thing that worked was to ignore it.

We are trying to teach them the difference btwn outdoor and indoor voices. When they scream indoors, we make a similar (but less loud, lower pitch, etc) noise. To teach them the difference. It's not foolproof, but it's helping.

Mine do it too. Now it has become a contest to see who can scream the loudest. One starts and then the other 2 join in even louder. There is nothing I can do but cover my ears and wait. They couldn't hear me tell them to stop anyways. I have tried counting Anthony and "if" he hears me, it will help. But the little ones dont understand that yet so it's hard to get the oldest to understand why he can't yell if the little ones can...kwim? I hope it stops...it is completely unnerving!
