Lately every time we go out my DD starts to scream. We put her in her snugride in the house and she is all smiley. We get in the car and within 2 minutes she is screaming. She does not stop until we get home and get out of the car. As soon as we get out of the car, she is fine and full of smiles again.

Did this happen to anyone? How did you make it stop?

Do you have her all bundled up? Maybe she is getting too hot in the carseat with some extra clothes on. One of mine was a screamer too. Some days were better than others.

Yesterday was warm and she was in a onesie and some shorts. Nothing warm!

Oh well, it was worth a try, right?? Sorry. Well my older DD was a screamer in the car forever. Some days were better than others, but mostly I just learned to sing the Fisher Price Farm Songs CD really LOUD!! She didnt get better until we bought a minivan when we found out we were going to be bringing two babies home instead of one. And in that said minivan is a beautiful DVD player that gives me much peace FINALLY!!!!!!!!!

What about making sure nothing is bothering her in the seat? Too tight? Not snug enough? Something scratching her? Just some thoughts as I never experienced this one.

I think we are going to get her a convertible seat tonight. We were hoping to wait until Christmas but maybe she is looking for something different. The seats we have do not look that comfy to me so maybe she is just pickier than her brother. She is definately higher maintenance. He is so easy going.

    Thanks ladies!

I posted a similar question and I too have the Snug Ride. My boys scream bloody murder in those things. One thing I have noticed is that when I get them out, their backs aer sweaty. And my kids never have on ANYTHING more than a thin onesie. I don't even put socks, shorts, shoes or anything on them AND we have four vents on the roof of the car in the back that will blow directly on them. The seat is just not breathable. I'm really looking into buying a convertible as well (sooner than I thought). So, probably no help but I know how you feel.

My mom tells me that as a baby, I was a horror to bring anywhere in the car - I'd just scream and scream - as I got older - I would get car sick. maybe the baby is feeling a little queasy? just an idea. My Natalie was a little fussy when we'd put her in the car too. she's outgrown it. I had snug rides - my sister still uses them to pick the girls up in - they fuss while we put them in - I have convertibles in my car and not a peep out of them when they are put in these..... maybe she hates the snugness / confinement too.
