    My boys have just discovered that there are clubs at school that they can join. So far, I finally caved and let both boys join the Bowling Club. Then, yesterday, a note came home about a Literature Club for K-1st graders--and Jonathan really wanted to join that one, so the form went back today.

    They are really looking forward to their clubs!

    How fun! We don't have any clubs (that I know of) besides the chess club. Brady wants to do that next year. With our crazy schedule based around Jackson's school basketball games, I don't think we could swing any clubs anyway, but how neat that your boys get to have that experience!

    The good thing about the Lit. Club is that it is right after school, meaning that I don't have to get Jonathan until around 4:30. The bowling club is more of a pain, in that I have to pick the boys up from school, and then transport them to the bowling alley, and pick them up there.

    All three of mine bowled in a youth league last year. None of them had ever bowled before more than once or twice, but they had a blast! Your boys will love it!

    That's pretty neat Sharon. We don't have any clubs like that at school. We do have a walking club, but that is done during recess.

    Our's have very few for the younger group - maybe Writing Club, Spanish and Running Club for the 4th graders{?}

    That is great Sharon! Our school does not have any clubs for the younger kids (K-2) with exception of boy scout/girl scout type.

    I just wanted to update.

    The boys have been attending the bowling club for a few weeks, and really love it. They are learning tournament type bowling, and are making a few new friends--also getting some face time with some older grade teacher, which can never hurt!

    Today Jonathan had his first meeting of the Literature club, and he was estatic!

    OT note: 2 of the 3 teachers running the club are mothers of twins!

    Bowling sounds so awesome (aside from having to transport them there). We are lucky to have quite a selection of after school clubs. The boys are doing Lego Engineering and Chess club this session. They love, love, love chess! And are learning so much. I want them to take the cooking class, but they are resisting. Maybe if I get them the Cooking Mama DS game...

    Marcus would LOVE the Lego club!!! Jonathan would also love the Chess club. Cool clubs at your school, Ellen!
