I know I know I have like a MILLION questions today so I hope nobody gets sick of me but....

I have 9.5 weeks old b/g twins (born at 35w3d) and I am dying to get them on a schedule... I am goiung to pick up healthy sleep habits happy child this week-- we were on a somewhat regular eat/play/sleep schedule but I think they're giong thru some kind of growth spurt as this week they seem to be sleeping ALOT durring teh day and eating every 2.5-3 hours (when they were eating every 4 hours...)

Anyway just curious what you're experiences have been on establishing schedules for the day as I'm going nuts not having a set schedule-

Mine were on an every 3 hour feed schedule at that age and no where near on any other schedule. It wasnt until about 4.5 months that they started taking a predictable nap in the morning. I read in another post that one baby was sleeping well. Thats so great. Both of mine got up all the time to eat until they were almost 9 months old. This is a tough time. Hang in there.

Another on a 3 hour feeding schedule. Mine were not a real schedule until 8 months! LOL!

I don't think a schedule is really possible at that age (and believe me I tried). I needed to reframe my expectations, and instead I aimed for a routine. I tried to make sure we did certain things in pattern vs trying to control at what time they happened. Even now at 6 months, I have to be flexible and realize that as much as I'd like everything to run on a schedule, there are very few days where the optimum is achieved.

    Good Luck!

We are just in the last week or two starting to get on some kind of a schedule, we do pretty good until about 4 p.m. and then it's all over the place until bedtime. My babies were born at 38 weeks though, so with your 35 weekers it may take awhile longer.

We were always on a 3 hour schedule and around 3 months we started the Eat, Activity, Sleep plan. It really worked for us.

We were on a 3 hour feeding schedule from the beginning and our napping schedule fell into place around 6 months, when both babies were sleeping through the night. You can definitely try to work towards one!
