scheduled c-section was supposed to be today!

Well after tossing and turning all night and got up at 4:30am so we could leave for the hospital by 6am. We spent 3 hours waiting for a bed until the dr. came in and said because of all the emergency c- sections we were being bumped until tomorrow am! I am so mad! Darn those woman that go into labour on their own, just kidding!! My poor ds is so confused right now. My parents came from an hour and a half away to come up and stay with ds and had to go back home. Nobody ever warned me about this happening. I guess Aug.15th wasn't meant to be their birthday,sigh. Aw man!! I would be frustrated too. Not that they had control over it but you're prepared to meet the babies today and now you have to wait. Geez!!

 

Oh no! That stinks! Well...do they think it'll be tomorrow, or later this week? I know you were SO ready to meet them!

 

That IS a bummer! I'm really glad you have family in to help with babies coming tomorrow. Can't wait to see your birth story and baby pics .

 

I'm sorry, but like you said today wasn't a good day for them, birthday wise that is.

im laughing because i couldnt dilate with any of mine.. so they were planned c-s and the day before.. i was so anxious.. not scared..
just excited.. i would have been ticked too..

mom said i was dry because i was in to long

dont feel bad.. had i waited.. and gotten that news i would have been t-d off..

Oh I am so sorry! :hug99: This happened to a good friend of mine too and I can't imagine how it feels to want to get it over with, meet your babies and schedule someone for your oldest. I pray that everything goes was newly planned tomorrow. :hug99:

 

August 15th would have been an excellent day for a birthday! :winking0009: Sorry you have to wait a day. I remember back when i was pregnant with my twins. I was supposed to go in for a tour of L&D. I never did because they were always full up. When I did have them, there were several rooms open! I did also have my scheduled c-section on a Saturday morning though due to scheduling mishaps. I hope everything goes well tomorrow!

 

LOL!!!!!!! You crack me up!!! Maybe you will go into labor on your own tonight at 5 pm so you and your parents can fight rush hour traffic!!!!!!! Only kidding!!!! Hope you did not monogram anything with their birthdate on it!!! LOL! That would be the worst!! I would not mind if they came todAY!!! It's my anniversary!! Hang in there! Maybe the 16th is your lucky day! GET SOME REST WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I'm sorry today wasn't the day- I would be so disappointed! Good luck tomorrow and here's hoping all those women going into labor on their own tomorrow will be able to do so without tying up an operating room!!

 

:hug99: Oh you poor thing! It should be against the law to do that to a twin mommy!!

 

I cant imagine going through that. Getting your hopes up and everything that you were about to meet your little ones and then having to wait another day. I know I am already ready to meet mine. I hope everything goes well for you tommorow. Keep us posted.

ugh..that stinks... I was forewarned from others stories about that kind of thing happening... I think I was actually surprised that it worked out on the date I was scheduled!! 8/16 is an even nicer date though...so nice an even...and 16 is divisible by 8.... okay, I was a math teacher pre-babies...so I'm fond of certain number combinations...my twins were born on 3/21... I thought that was pretty cool...

oh I was such a nervous wreck the night before my c-section I cannot imagine going through that 2 nights in a row!!
I'm sorry you had to wait!! next year it will make a good story!! Aug 16 is a great day for a :birthday: !!!!!!!
