    Hi all,
I was so thrilled to finally have a schedule for the boys but something is shifting for them and I don't know how to shift the schedule to make it work (it's probably obvious - I'll be so embarassed).

The problem is that they are falling asleep during meals or are so cranky with fatigue, they won't eat. I don't really want to start breakfast earlier because then a) lunch and dinner will be waaaay too early and B) it will be so hard to get out of the house without interfering with a nap or meal time (they aren't good finger food eaters so it's hard to eat on the go). Here's my schedule:

    6:00 wake-up (or 5:30)
    6:30 bottle
    7:30 breakfast
    8:00 - 9:00 nap
    10:00 snack
    11:30 lunch (+ bottle)
    12:00 nap
    2:30 snack
    5:00 dinner (+ bottle)
    7:00 bed

    What do you think?

Your schedule looks really good to me. The only thing I could think of would be a earlier bedtime. Good luck.

[SIZE=10pt]Your schedule looks good to me. Maybe an earlier bedtime. Are they getting cranky/fatigued at each meal?

My two are changing their schedules on their own ~ I'm kinda just letting it go and seeing what happens each day

I think your schedule looks great but if they are cranky and falling asleep at the table then I would tweak it. I might offer them lunch at 11am. Some days mine still eat that early or definitely by 11:30 (they are 16 mo). And you could offer them dinner around 4:45 (I, did that too at about that age) and then get them to bed by 6:30 and see if that allows them to catch up on some sleep. I dont think that will change it so much that you cant get out with them.

There is also a bunch of schedules in the First Year Handbook at the top of the forum that might help you to see what others are or were doing at that age.

FWIW I found that age one of the toughest to get out of the house without someone falling asleep in the car and ruining the nap, period! It gets much better once they drop to one and you are no longer held captive in your home by a nap.

I have to split up the meals and the bottles...

7:50 am up and get dressed
    8:15 am bottle
    9:00 am solids
    10:45-12:45 nap
    12:45 solids
    2:30/2:45 bottle
    3:00-4:30 nap
6:00 solids (this would be earlier but we wait for my husband to have dinner as a family)
    7:15 ready for bed
    7:30 bottle and bed

I don't do it but my friend with twins, give bottle and then meal at the same time. That might make them not so tired. I don't know if htey would eat right away but might be worth a try. i am thinking of trying to go to this then you would only have to feed 4 times plus once before bed. I like that idea.

This is our 10 month schedule and it looks almost exactly like yours! I was thinking too that maybe you need to put them to bed a little earlier at night and see if that helps.

    5:30 wake
    6:15 out of bed
    6:30 bottle
    7:15 breakfast
    9:00 nap
    12:00 bottle
    12:30 lunch
    1:00 nap
    4:30 dinner
    6:00 bottle
    6:30 bed
