Just wanted to check with you all about my boys schedule. The will be 5 months old on December 19 (4 months corrected) and this is what their schedule is like on most days. I cant get them to stay awake longer than 1.5 hours at a time without getting grumpy and wanting sleep.

    Wake 5.30/6am
    Bottle

    Bed 7am

    Wake & Bottle 9am
    Play

    Bed 10.30am

    Wake & Bottle 12 noon
    Play

    Bed 1.30pm

    Wake & bottle 3pm
    Play

    Bed 4.30pm

    Wake Bath & Bottle 6pm

    Bed 7.30pm.

Now of course its not strictly how it is every day, but usually very close. I tried to keep them awake after the 3 pm bottle but that wont have a bar of it. Are they having too many day naps. (4 in total) Is this normal at this age. I am not complaining but just wanted to check with everyone else out there. Should I try to change a little? Thanks!

I think mine were doing at least 4 naps at that age. You are doing great!! If your babes are happy and thriving, I wouldnt change a thing!!

Looks a whole lot better than ours did at that age. They only kind of routine we have right now is bedtime. You are doing great, and if you can get them to take 4 naps then they are needing it. sounds great.

Sounds almost identical to what my boys were doing at that age. Sounds like you are doing GREAT!!

Yep, looks perfect to me. I was only able to stretch mine to 2 hours waketime, and drop that fourth nap, a couple weeks ago -- and mine will be 6 months next week.

The only schedule we follow is a 10 am nap and 2 pm nap. My older children usually have some type of evening activity, so the girls take an additional nap in the car in the evening. We pretty much feed inbetween those times whenever the girls act hungry.

We were just able to drop our 4th nap at sometime between 5 and 5.5 months. Mine are six months now and can just now barely make it 2 hours of awake time. I think your schedule looks dead on but you can get the best feedback from the babies ---are they bearable in the evening? If so, then kudos to you. Actually, they always say that if the babies are cranky in the evening then they are overtired but I think that they are cranky regardless. I know I put mine down for three naps and even if they do take them and wake up from their last nap at 5 they are fixing to be cranky by 6pm...I think it is just the time of the day.

Thanks everyone, for your replies. I just wasn't sure if the 4 day nap thing was normal at this age, although Oliver I think will drop the fourth nap soon.
    Thanks again.
