What is the general schedule for your 12.5 - 3 yr olds? Mine have not recovered from the time change and I am wondering if they need a schedule change.

If you have non-nappers, how do you survive the afternoons?

    TIA!

    Our schedule is as follows:

    7:30-8:00 Wakeup
    8:30- Breakfast
    12:00- Lunch
    1-3 Nap
    6:30 Dinner
7:30- Up for bath/bed time routine
    8:00 Bedtime

The time change did have us a little out of whack for a couple of days, but I think we have recovered nicely.

Mine are in daycare but their schedule is pretty close to this one...

8:00 or so Drop off at daycare (they get breakfast again)
9:30 or so Mid morning snack
    12:00 Lunch
    1-3 Nap
3:30 or so another snack (still at daycare)
    5:15 Yet another snack
    6:00 Pickup from daycare
    6:45/7:00 Dinner
    7:30-8:30 Baths/Bed time routine
    8:30 Bed time

    Hope this helps!

This is mine for my 3.5 DD. Seems to work well. And if she misses her nap on a "school" day then we usually like to have her in bed by 7:30.

We haven't shifted after the time change either but they did some shifting on their own in advance of the time change. I'm liking their new schedule (especially the 7AM wakeup since that's the latest it's ever been) so I think I'll leave it alone.

    7 AM wakeup
    7:30 AM breakfast
    11:30 AM lunch
down for nap around 12:30, up at 2
3 PM heavy snack / light meal
    6 PM dinner
    7:30 PM bedtime

ETA: if they refuse to nap, I take them somewhere in the afternoon. They're less likely to be cranky if we're out doing something. I also put them down for bed early.

    Most days:
0700: wake up, try to potty
0715: portable b'fast in the activity room. Disney TV or Noggin. Free Play
0730: Big Kids up for school
0830: Big Kids Leave for the day.
0845: Circle time (Songs, read a book)
    0930: Light snack
1000: Free Play (I'm cleaning, playing, making lunch, etc...)
1130: LUNCH pretty heavy meal in high chairs
1215: More play and clean up activity room
1300: NAP or at least quiet time
    1500: Snack and play time
    1600: Big Kids Home
    1700: Dinner
1800: Clean up bedroom and Activity room
    1830: Bed time routine
1900: Bed TIME (sometimes a half hour earlier depending on Napping and moods)
2000: Big Kids bed time routine
2030: Mom is "ALL DONE" assuming kids are in bed and sleeping

When I am running errands, we try to be on the move and out of the house by 0900. I keep to meal times even if it means drive-thru. We are always home by 1600 to meet the big girls after school and have our evening routine. In the event we go out for dinner during the week, we leave by 1630 so we can keep our dinner time as close to possible and get home before 2000 for bed time routines. It may seem like I'm really rigid with our routine but we get at least 12 hours of quiet every night unless someone is sick or we are adjusting to dad coming or going due to work.

I have 2.5 and 3.5 on the same schedule.

    7:30/8 wake up and eat
    11:30 lunch
    12:30-2:30 naptime
2:30 go pick up my aunt and the big kids
    3:30 snack
    5:30/6 dinner
    7:30/8 bedtime

This is for school days. If we don't have anyone to pick up, nap time can be anywhere from 12:30 to 4! But they are only in bed for about 2hrs. Some days they sleep, some days they don't. But I still get my down time since they stay in their beds. Well, not really down time, I do homework and things for school. Occasionally I'll let Aaron miss nap and stay up with me. Bedtime will be as early at 7 on days that they didn't nap and they are being monsters!

7:30/8 wake up and milk sippies and dry cereal
    9:00 breakfast
    12:00 lunch
    12:30-2:30 naptime
    2:30 snack
    5:30 dinner
    7:30/8 bedtime

They sometimes have a morning snack too.

We had about a three-day adjust to the new time. The first day was rough, the next two better, but now we are on the right schedule.

We do not have a set schedule because we are on the go so much. Seasonally things are added or deleted - swimming lessons, soccer, baseball & such. We add in impromptu visits with friends, appointments, etc.

Mine rarely nap...only once in a blue moon when they pass out.

A couple of things are pretty much set in stone though - wake & sleep times. The time change didn't adversely affect us.

    7am - wake
    7:30 - breakfast done
8:15 - older kids out the door

    Mornings

    Monday - Gym Time
    Tues - home/errands
Wed - park playgroup (Apr - Oct)
    Thurs - home/errands
    Friday - home/errands
Sat - Rockclimbing for the 3 oldest
    Sun - home

    Afternoons

    Mon - home/errands
    Tues - Parent Preschool
    Wed - home/errands
    Thurs - 2 x/mth playgroup/errands/home
Fri - home by 2 as kids are out of school early
    Sat - assorted
    Sun - assorted

    Afterschool

    Mon - curling ( 2oldest)
    Thurs - Gymnastics (4 youngest)

    5 - 6 - supper time

    Evening (right now)

    Mon - Beavers
    Wed. - Baseball

    8 pm - Bedtime (3 youngest)
    8:30 - DD bed
    9:00 DS bed
