Hi everyone, just curious how common a SCH is in a twin pregnancy? Reading things online has proven to be very scary! It is between the two sacs but is as large as the sacs. Bleeding started at 6wk5d and babies looked ok at ultrasound. Monday was just over 10wks, SCH still there and reduced ever so slightly and babies looking good. After such a long road to get to this point, just hope that things can progress well.
I don't know the stats but they are very common in all pregnancies, I believe. I had one and was told they are very common but are usually not detected in most pregnancies as they are not ultrasounded early or as often as twins. The vast majority resolve themselves just fine. I was lucky to have no bleeding but know many others did and things still went fine. Good luck and keep us posted! Btw, the best advice I got was not to google. Continue to bring your questions and worries here and save yourself additional google-inspired anxiety.
I hope your SCH is gone at the next u/s! I didn't have one with my twins, but did with my last ds, Lennox. I started having spotting and then bleeding at about 9 weeks had 9 weeks 3 days I had an u/s that showed it and at my next u/s it was gone mine was less than half the size of the placenta.
