I just had a horrific scare!!!

My DD managed to get our Wii Numchucks down off of our TV stand. I was busy mopping and peeked my head into DS's room where they were both playing. I found her strangling him with the cord. It was wrapped around DS's neck and she was pulling on it. It was so tight DS couldn't even cry out. Thank goodness he is fine, but what a scare!! I think my heart stopped!!

That is soooo scary - glad all is ok - I am constantly aware of any cords/ropes/skipping ropes/blind pulls - they all scare and worry me!!

 I am so glad everything is okay. What a terrible scare. Mine seem to be drawn to wrapping things around their necks - it always scares me!!

So glad he is ok, but  for that awful scare!!!

My girls took a ribbon off one of their play hats (easter bonnett) and did something similar while they were playing. Scared the poo out of me and made me take a really long look at every toy in their bin to make sure its toddler-proofed.

That would have terrified me, thankfully everyone is okay. Big  to you Momma!

Yep, lesson learned! Things that were out of reach are no longer out of their reach. I need to go from a baby proofed house to a toddler proofed house.

Oh I worry about this happening all the time!! Peyton is fascinated with wires and cords so we are always checking to make sure all are out of reach, but somehow the little bugger always ends up grabbing one!!

Yikes, I'm glad everybody was ok! That's so scary and something that terrifies me.

What is it with the fascinations with cords? Hailey does the same thing, sometimes she will manage to find a belt or anything similar and instantly puts it around her neck. I feel like I'm always checking to make sure things are not where she can get them.

That's scary, and hits very close to home. I have "cord kids" too. It's the number one thing I have to discipline them for, and I just can't hide a few of the cords. I'm glad your son is OK.

How scary, good thing you caught it quickly!
My DD loves to wrap everything around her neck, cords, strings, ribbons off her hats, sunglasses, scarfs - basically whatever can fit around her neck she tries it, so I also have to be really careful. ugh, I can't wait until the strangling phase is over!

Ugh that's awful. It's the reason I don't dare leaving them alone more than 5 minutes now, if that... there are loose cords under the desk and although I don't think they could get strangled in them as they're on the floor, I'm still worried.
