We had to take Alana to the doctor today to check for a concussion!!! She was in her booster seat in the kitchen chair eating lunch and she somehow pushed hard enough on the table to fall over backwards. Her head smacked the floor! She wasn't really bleeding but she did break the skin. It kind of resembles a scrape on top of the knot on the back of her head. The pedi said that she looked good: both pupils were the same, she was talking, she was tired but she said that was probably from crying, and she wasn't vomiting or anything. She did remark on how tough Alana is. She was just sitting there looking at a Dora book DH was holding while the doctor was pushing pretty hard on the knot! She's got such a hard noggin! :)

Anyway, the doctor said to call if there's any drastic change in behavior tonight and they'll do a CAT scan, but she thinks she'll be fine. She said we could let her sleep as long as we checked on her about every hour, so she'll probably be in the bed with us tonight. She's still acting fine but she keeps telling us her "hed huwts." :) I'm so thankful she's okay! It was SO scary!!!

Wow! That is scary! Im glad she is ok. My kids were pushing the table for awhile and I couldn't get them to stop, so I eventually went back to trays. If you think of a way to avoid, please let me know!!

Yikes, that is scary! Ainsley fell down the stairs last week, and I think I cried more than she did! I thought for sure I would be taking her to the ER. Kids really must have hard heads, with all that falling they do. Glad she's OK.
