We have plans to visit with some friends this weekend and she sent me a mail telling me that one of her kids has Scarlet Fever, but is through the first 24hrs of antibotics. Should I be concerned about going over to thier house? I have a OB apt. on Wednesday, so I will ask him then.
    TIA

Scarlet fever is basically the same as strep throat but you also get a rash. How old is the child?
I think if they have taken antibiotics they aren't contagious anymore but definitely ask your doctor about it.

Definitely call your Doc and check before you go.

I would check with your doctor and I also wouldn't go. My daughter got Scarlet Fever last year with a really bad strep throat. Poor Baby was miserable and it spread to the rest of the family. So while she may be on antibiotics you don't know who else in the family is exposed and not showing symptoms yet. Good Luck.

There's still a few days until your trip so I'd definitely ask the doctor and do some googling to see if you can find some information. I don't know how long Scarlett Fever tends to last but your visit will be about four days after they already went to the doctor right?

I would wait to make sure no one else gets it. It would not be good for you to get it. The germs could still be in the house and others could be contagious, you just don't want that risk. I would double check with your dr first, mine was very clear about me not being around people who were sick because you basically have no immune system when you are pregnant and with twins it is so risky anyway. Good luck.
