Conner had a rough night. I definitely don't get Mom of the Evening Award! He slipped in the tub & smacked his face on the edge. He has a cut above his eye, a swollen eye lid, & a nice goose egg. He then fell on the exact same spot, face first, off his PBK chair. Ugh. Things settled & he was tucked into bed as normal. Within seconds I heard horrible screaming & went running. I still don't know what he did, but there was blood everywhere :(. He has a fat lip, a blood blister on his lip, & bloody gums (thankfully, all teeth seem intact). He wouldn't really allow an ice pack on ANY of his injuries.....all of which occured between 6-7:15pm!

So, what do you think he'll look like in the morning? DH was calling him "Rocky", but I'm thinking it's going to look like we beat him to a pulp! Super, since he has his initial eval with his Urologist tomorrow (at Aiden's pre-op appt). I'm probably not even going to want to leave the house with him! I'll have to be sure to take pictures of my little bruiser....poor baby....................

(Side note: thank goodness we took their 1 yr pics 4 days ago!)

Poor little guy! I feel for him. Luckily toddlers are super fast healers! Go in and take a peek at him now, before you go to bed.

I hope he wakes up a new man tomorrow. That's the good thing about being young...they bounce back real fast.

I am sure he will look worse than it feels. It seems at our house dd always does something to her face before any family pictures take place  It is like her signature, a bruise/cut/ etc on her face in pics! But they are kids, this will happen or you are not doing something right!!!! You just always hope it is never anything major, and it sounds like he will be just fine :hug99:

i feel you, yesterday bear fell face first on the tile floor and got a ginormous fat lip. about half an hour later, he fell and hit his forehead, so he has a bump now, too....his lip isn't so bad anymore, and the forehead is just a bit discolored....oh and he has a little bruise on the bridge of his nose from a couple of days ago....what is it with these guys??? LOL they'll heal up soon enough i guess, i just wanted to commiserate

Poor guy! It seems like when it happens, it just keeps on going. Fortunately they don't ever seem to hold onto any of the pain from those kinds of owies. I'd complain for days, but it always seems they are fine within a few minutes.

Ok, I don't know how to edit my original post (anyone know how?) so I'll just 'add on'.

Here's what he looked like immediately when he woke up this morning. His eye is a LITTLE swollen & a LITTLE black & blue, but not too bad! His lip is just a smidge swollen & still has the blood blister, but it's not noticable head on. He looked good enough for me to even take him to the mall without feeling like people think I beat my kid :)!

    Close up

Not TOO bad from far away :)!

Thanks for all your kind words....thankfully NO ONE has gotten injured today (knock on wood)!
