Scared momma, nervous anxious rant

I'm scared- I just got a call from the babies daycare and both boys are throwing up continually. What has me freaked out is she said neither one has a fever.

What I'm worried bout- what if they got into something they shouldn't? We try to keep pills, etc. in seperate rooms, but I was notorious for dropping pills over the house before we had the boys. It is a constant fear of mine- what if they get into something and swollow and/or choke on something they shouldn't? What if I or someone else drops pills or something and we don't see it? What if our cat doesn't swallow her pills and the boys get to them?

I spilled pills by accident in my car yesterday but it only got on the floor and I cleaned it up. I think I got everything. They don't go on the floor, so it can't be that, right? And I took X-strength tylenol and motrin in our laundry room, what if I dropped one on the floor and someone tracked it out of the room?

I have at least two nerve-wracking hours before my husband gets to the daycare and even longer to wait to find out what the doctor says.

My cell phone is out of commission.

Anyway, just a nervous, scared momma rant. Please send good thoughts our way.

I am sorry that your babes are not feeling well :( I am hoping that it is just an upset tummy. My one twin has done a lot of puking without having gotten into anything or otherwise appearing ill. It can be frustrating but just watch that they don't get to dehydrated. As for the pills I have had my fair share of calls to poison control and have learnt that for a large variety of drugs they have to have eaten more than one to get ill. So I am hoping that it is not case. I am sending good thoughts your way :)

I would think that if they swallowed a pill only one would be throwing up. As they both are it must be something that they have been both exposed to. Have you asked the daycare if your boys are the only ones affected - could be a stomach bug going around?

I am thinking a stomach bug could also be the culprit. I hope your boys are okay

Thanks everyone for your good wishes.

    The daycare was over-reacting. Again.

Both babies have allergies (we don't know to what) and a lot of snot. Maybe a cold. It's hard to tell with them.

Probably from them coughing and/or having mucus. Husband picked up babies and they were perfectly fine.

I think it's time for us to pick a new daycare. We like her for the most part- but both of us have missed SO much work the last three months due to:

    1) Her taking a class, and her deciding parents had to pick kids up early 2days a week (for 10 weeks) we made an arrangement with her assistant who was out almost the entire time. Plus, when her assistant WAS there, we had to drive the assistant home

    2) She got sick 2X in the last 3 weeks
3)She decided Wednesday she was closed- didn't tell us until we picked up the kids Tuesday at 6:30 PM (she said it was Dr. appointment, we think she was playing hookey to hang with her daughter... in any case, last minute when not ill is NOT OK)
    4) and yesterday

Our kids tend to puke when they cough- sensitive gag reflex. She said she didn't hear them coughing...

But she also said girl who has been biting at daycare does so out of the blue... we talked to her mother, and the girl says 'ouchie' right before biting...

Not necessarily her fault for not noticing when she has a room full of kids, just don't necessarily believe that it wasn't due to them coughing
