We are going to Italy in July and we are looking to get a SBS stroller. Right now we have the Graco Duoglider and I am NOT taking that with us! No need for a Cadillac on the plane! :p Anyways... I do not want to break the bank for another stroller. I am thinking of a SBS because I think they might be easier to use sometimes. Right now-if we go for walks, I still put them in their carseats(I know-crazy)-if it's not up and down the street-or at the mall. I would love a SBS to just put them in it and go and let them see everything in the process.

DH wants to get the "cheap" umbrella strollers-2 of them-and attach them. I don't know if I want that. Are they good enough? Can you even do that-attach them? Plus-this will be the stroller we use when we are in Italy-the boys will be 9 months old then. We will be in Italy for 2.5 weeks-and it's a TON of walking. The boys will spend a majority of their time in the stroller-and seeing how it's a nightlife over there-probably even sleeping in there at night while we are out(I prefer for them to be in bed by 7pm-but I'm sure I will be known as the nutty American mother).

So-thoughts on a SBS stroller? Deals? I tested two at BRU one day. One was put together HORRIBLY and I did not like the way it turned at all. Any ideas are welcome!

I just got rid of my duoglider because it was way too bulky for me, and got this Combi stroller. Its a little on the expensive side, but worth every penny. My girls couldn't be happier in it, and its easy and lightweight for me. It has the tri-fold with a shoulder strap. Its wonderful!

    Have fun in Italy!!

The main reason we switched from a SBS to a tandem was that horrific hair pulling episodes became increasingly regular around 9-10 months. As long as you don't have that problem, an SBS isa great idea.

I LOVE our tandem Kolcraft Countours stroller... but it's not small or light.

As for SBS's, we have a Combi and it's just okay... but it's not worth what they charge IMO.

GL & have fun in Italy!!!!!!

This is pretty much as cheap as it gets with SBS strollers but it isnt awful. We had one when the babies were only 2 months old and because the seats partially recline, they slept in it without issues. It is not hight qulaity but it is good for the money.

We then had the expensive Peg Perego twin aria and the wheel actually broke right off under the weight fo my son who is 22ish pounds. Not cool!

Now we have http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2373622 and I am madly in love with it. It is sturdy, the seats recline easily and well and the storage baskets rock. The sun hoods are a little strange as they are small, but I just hook them on a little lower and they work quite well. It folds up small and doesnt weigh too much.

    Have fun in Italy!

I would check out Ebay too. I got a Combi for less than half the normal retail price and we LOVE it. It's so much easier when it's just me and the kids. And they love that they can see out. (It's also a lot lighter than the Duo Glider.)

I love my Combi for quick trips and travelling but its expensive just too use it for that. I also have a Valco Twin SBS but its very heavy and I dont think it would do well on an airplane. We are not taking ours when we go away next month but will be using the Combi.

I just purchased a Graco DuoRider from Craigslist. I got mine for $50. It is still a little bulky when it is folded, but not as heavy and so far I really like it. Pretty large baskets underneath and easy to steer. I was looking at SBS and was struggling with what to buy. This wasn't my 1st choice, but I couldn't pass on the price. The one I really wanted was $300 and I was having a hard time justifying that. I would maybe check out Craigslist of Ebay and see if you can find a good deal on a used one.
