I have been using two umbrella strollers and have a thingy (yes that's the technical term :D ) to attach them together when I need to. But - with them attached I can't fit through any doorways...so...I am thinking about getting a SBS stroller.

I would like something lightweight that folds nicely and won't take up the whole back of my 4Runner and isn't too expensive.

I am not too worried about storage or cup holder - don't need all the bells and whistle since it will be kept in the car and used for errands. I love the cheap umbrellas that I have been using because they fold up so great - but attaching them and detaching them is getting kind of annoying.

So - what do you guys recommend?

Oh - and nay tips on how to explain to my husband that getting a 5th stroller is a good idea :D We have a BOB, a duoglider and that 2 umbrellas already...

OK, no recommendations, just wondering what the "thingy" clip actually is? I've been trying to find a Jeep twin stroller on Craigslist for the summer but haven't ... I want something light and easy for summer for the boys! I could get the 2 umbrellas and that clipy thing I guess ...

    and what is a BOB?

and am I the only one with 1 stroller so far????? :D

I have a MacLaren Twin Rally (less expensive than the Twin Traveller, paid $209 including shipping / no tax). It folds as an umbrella stroller, but then double. It's sturdy, very good quality. No cup holders, which I don't care about either. I owned a Combi and although the ride was fine, it was too plasticy for me. It was too flimpsy and low quality for me. We use the McLaren for air travel quite a lot and I feel confident it won't break that easily knowing how they treat your stuff ...

If you want something cheaper ... Chicco makes a nice one too (I have a single for my oldest, which I used next to my Bugaboo = now sold ;().

I have a Mountain Buggy Urban Double for walks around the neighborhood.

We have the Jeep SBS, it's a decent stroller for the $$. It fits through most doorways. Mine has seat covers that roll up, with mesh underneath, which is nice for the heat. Kendra, I got mine on sale at BRU for around $80. Have you checked ebay?

There is a Jeep SBS on eBay. I was watching it, but found one on Craigslist. I would like the Combi Twin one in pink, but I am not spending that much on an umbrella type SBS. Good luck.

The "thingy" is these 3 pieces of plastic that connect the two strollers. I think that it is Prince Lionheart. I bought it at Babies R Us but I can't seem to find it on their website. Here is a link http://www.princelionheart.com/site/t_str_6550.html

I have a Kolcraft SBS, it was $60. It's pretty good and great quality for the money, metal frame. There's not much storage (two little mesh bags on the back) and the sunshade isn't great but it's great to just trow in the car or take on a trip. If it gets lost/broken you won't really care because it's a cheapie.

I really like my Combi Savvy EX. I paid about $150 for it new on eBay. For the price I think it is totally worth it. It's very light -- about 20 lbs. It folds in half so it is easy to store in my van. It has cup holders and some light storage in the bottom, it handles well. I would definitely like it to have larger sunshades but I think it does well for an umbrella stroller (which is what a SBS is anyway). Also I like that it has a shoulder strap when it is folded and has locks on the back wheels and swivel or not swivel locks on the front. They seats recline well but do not totally sit up, but that is fine with my guys. They are able to sit up completely anyway. Good luck! :D
