Amy is PT'd now (hooray!) but Sarah is still nowhere near. I think she could do it if she wanted to, but trying to force Sarah never works (stubborn is her middle name), so we're just waiting for her to decide she wants to.

I know this is normal and perfectly OK, but I'm just wondering, if you were in this situation, how long was the delay between the first and the second twin getting PT'd?

We're in the same boat. Alina has been trained for a month or so, but Madison could care less. Sticker charts/rewards aren't motivating her. I haven't pushed her on it yet. She refuses to sit on the potty 99% of the time at the sitters. She takes them every hour. I think I'm going to try naked training (which is what I did with Alina) or switching to panties in a couple weeks and see how she does. If its a disaster, I'll give her some more time.

I think Madison could if she wanted to also. When I trained Alina, I did do naked training with Madison too for a day or so. She could hold it for 3-4 hours, then just go where ever. So, I don't think its a 'physical' issue. Just a mental one! :D She also likes me to feed her, so I guess she's fine with not being a big girl.

That is exactly where we are at too. Lily is fully potty trained and doing great, Grace will currently not even sit on the potty (she did for a while). We're not pushing, hopefully she comes around soon. She has started to tell me immediately when she poops. She says "change me mommy, I have stinkies". I am hoping that is a good sign. :)

Yes, Sarah is very good at telling me (and everyone within earshot) when she poops! We get progress reports: "I poopin, but I not finished yet.... OK, I finished, you change my diaper now." :D

Sarah trained at just after her 2 year birthday, and Hannah took 3 or 4 months after that. Our problem: we stubbornly refused to try food rewards. Once we caved, she trained beautifully. She still has accidents about 2 to 3 times a week, like she waited too long to potty, but otherwise, it's gone well.

Yep, that's how Ainsley is too. She will even tell me when she's peed sometimes. Bea's been potty trained for 6 months now, and it was pretty easy. Ainsley OTOH, has been hit and miss. I think she knows how to go potty, but has trouble recognizing when she has to go. If I could set aside a week to spend with her alone, not going anywhere and without the other kids, we could probably get her trained. But she gets distracted, I get distracted, and then she has accidents and I get frustrated and put her back in pull-ups. Right now, she usually spends a couple hours in the morning in underwear, and about half the time will stay dry until I put her in a pull-up when we go out.

I'm glad this is here b/c Allison could care less about the potty. She's perfectly happy with diapers and even brags about what character is on her diaper. I try to stick with LUVs, but every once in a while her daddy will cave in and buy her diapers that have Mickey or Pooh on them and she's in heaven. No bribes have worked thus far--we're still hoping!!

They're two different people and well within the normal window so I guess I wouldn't push it. Hopefully she'll decide her sister's undies look like something she'd want to wear and get motivated.

Rachel trained at 2.5 We're approaching 3.5 and we are just now seeing significant progress with Alexis. The sad thing is that Alexis was so stubborn that she wanted to do what Rachel was doing, but wouldn't take herself to the bathroom to save her life. and wouldn't go when mom said, so we've kept Hanes in business buying enough panties to get through the day.

We're embarking now, and Nick is ready, but Joe isn't. I'm hoping he will jump on the big-boy train since he idolizes Nick, but I don't plan to push it. When I see Joe pushing I always tell him, "Let's go do that on the potty," to which he replies, "I not ready. I going to hide. I need pi-va-cee." I can't argue with that. :pardon:

Yep, Sarah is very explicit about that too. She can't say "privacy," but if I ask her if she wants to poop on the potty, she says "No, I still little -- I poop in my diaper." She doesn't seem upset about it at all. I just keep telling her to let us know when she wants to start wearing underwear and using the potty. Maybe she'll be motivated when she hits 30 lbs and we have to get rid of the diaper table attachment on our PNP (which, yes, we are still using!).
