I always see posts where babies have a big weight difference, but it always seems like it is with boy/girl twins. I have two girls and they are noticeably different sizes (only started 3 oz apart!).

We go to the dr. on the 7th so i don't know their exact weights, but I bet it's a big difference. Addison is so much heavier!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Just want to know I'm not alone. I'm sure things are fine, it's just a little odd.

My girls are fraternal and only had a 5 ounce difference at birth. Well at their 2 month apt, Breena was 10lb 1oz and Baylinn was 8lb 13oz. Breena eats an ounce more per feeding and loves to sleep and just look around while her sister never stops what we call movin' and grovin'. I'm sure they are at least 2 or 3 pounds different in weights now!

I am anxious to know how much they weigh b/c I thought the same thing w/ my 2. Lauren feels so much heavier than Mattie, but in weight they are only about 4-6 oz. Dr. said Lauren is just more solid, whatever that means

I used to think that exact thing, Jessica is more solid bigger shoulder, bigger bone structure, and when I would get them weighed at the doctors there would be like a pound difference and I would think it should have been way more or it felt way more

    At birth my guys were:
    Will-3.11
    John-4.10

Here are their STATs as of last week:
    Will-21.9
    John-19.8

Will is noticably bigger and heavier........my guys are fraternal so I am not sure if that is a factor or not.

There has been a 1 1/2 - 2 lbs difference between my girls since birth. They haven't been weighed since their 4 month though.

We have identical girls, born 5 oz apart. They were 10 oz apart for the last few months. I think they are evening out but I have to wait another month to see about that. I can def tell they are still off though when I pick them up.

My boys are identical. They were 2 lb. 12 oz. and 2 lb. 7 oz. at birth
Twin A now is 32 lbs., stocky and thick, and wears a 2T shirt/size 8 shoes
Twin B is 30 lbs. wet, thin and waif-like and wears 18M shirt/size 7 shoes
They are noticably different in size and even though there is only a 2 lb. weight difference, it feels like a lot more.

Yep- Lyla is much larger than Sophie. Over a pound bigger and you can tell very easily. Think of it as 2 different people - they grow at different rates. :)

Payton has always been bigger. For a while it was a full pound difference. Her appetite has been low in the past few weeks though so they are evening out. They are identical.

I have two boys and I think they're about 2 lbs apart (doctor's appointment in September - I'll let you know). James looks heavier because he has chubby cheeks but Evan has the biggest thighs this side of the border!

My girls confuse people! When they ask the "are they twins" they are really thinking they are NOT the same age but can't figure out it out! (I've been told they guess H to be 3-5 mos older) Many people have asked if they are 9-10 months apart which cracks me up because Hannah isn't *that* much bigger!! Hannah is the "solid" build that some pp's have mentioned, plus she is more vocal & busy ;)

    birth : Hannah 6.1 19"
    Natalie 5.0 18"

    9 mos: Hannah 19.10 29 3/4"
    Natalie 17.11 26 3/4"

At birth, my girls were both 6lbs 2oz and 1/2" different in length. Now Alina is about a pound heavier and almost 2" taller, plus she has quite a bit of curly hair and Madison still doesn't have much yet. Lately they've been confusing people too. They either think only 1 of them is mine if we're with friends or they ask how close in age they are....oh, about 28 min!

My girls started out with only a 1oz difference at birth and Ana was the slightly larger twin (both were the same length). But now at almost 6 months there is at least a pound difference with Meara being slightly heavier, and Ana is about an inch longer. They are just built different... Meara is more solid than Ana. It will be interesting to see how much they weigh at their 6 month appointment. -Leighann

My babies were born at the exact same weights. After a few weeks of life, one baby jumped ahead in weight. Then in the last 3 months, they have swapped and now the other baby is heavier by more than a pound! My lighter baby has been crawling and pulling up since 6 months, so I believe their difference is due to one baby burning off a lot more energy than the other baby, who likes to smile and sit on your lap all the time (God love her!).

    My girls were 4, 15 and 5, 11

At their 2 month check-up they were 9, 15 and 10, 11. Theyr both gained 5 lbs. on the dot. I thought that was pretty funny. They go in for their 4 month check-up next week. I can't wait to see how much they weigh.

Same here, my fraternal girls are about a pound apart, and they also reversed their birth weight: Sarah was 3 oz heavier at birth, now Cate is heavier by a pound. I found this comment helpful (from my pedi): Fraternal twins are just sisters born on the same day. There is no reason that they would be any more alike than children born in different years.
Children just have different body and bone structures and different rates of growth. That's why they eat different amounts too.
Mine are big, too: 18.5 and 19.5 pounds at 7 months.
