What do you use to protect adventurous 10month olds from the: TV, Baseboard heaters, fireplaces etc...Can you get gates to go around these dangerous things?
    Thanks,

I've seen fences like these up in people's houses. They work really well!

I blocked the fireplace with their bean bags, that worked for a while and eventually they just ignore it. (They go back every once in a while) We never turn it on anymore....

We actually use BLUE PAINTERS TAPE over the buttons on the TV and that makes it so they can't see the buttons and they don't try to push them anymore and the signal from the remote seems to go through it just fine. Go figure. They do sell safety stuff for TV's etc. at BRU and if you go to the Safety1st website, they have TONS OF IDEAS!

I agree with superyards... fences... get those, that will definitley keep them out for a little while... atleast until they get big enough to climb over them, [IMG]

When my nephew was 2 he fell on my Mom's fireplace and cut his cheek open - he's ten and still has the scar. She bought these pads for the edges and they are sill there today for my kids! They work really well and everyone in the family has since put them on their fireplaces. Here's the link.

I'm pretty sure she bought here's locally though - WalMart, Target, or something because she's NOT an online shopper.
