i had to give back some premie clothes that were lent to me. timothy wore those exclusively for months. i feel so attached to them. sad that i had to give em back. isn't that silly? i know i shouldnt get attached but its like a strong memory for me of how small he was etc. and i have pictures of him in them etc. sigh. they are getting too big too fast =( (william was a much bigger baby and only wore them a short time, timothy was our 2lber)
waaahh dh thinks its crazy that i want more kids already (they are only 4months old)

Awwww!!! I was sad when I started looking through my girls' newborn clothes too. I know you had to give those back, but maybe you can keep a few of the next sized outfits? I kept a few outfits for each girl and now I can't believe they wore them!! :hug99:

It is unbelievable how much they grow in the first year!

:hug99: I cried when I went thru the girls' tiny things and had to donate them. I begged DH to keep everything, but he was logical and right- we don't have the storage space for tons of boxes of tiny cloths. We compromised though. I do have a small box of clothes in each size. Maybe you can do that too. Ask whoever you borrowed them from if you can keep one special outfit. :hug99:

I think there's something so special about each stage and it' hard to let go. Being sad is normal, but remember there is so much to look forward to. I do love the newborn time. (It took 3 girls and then twin boys to give me my fill!)

I got sad putting away the preemie clothes too. They are so tiny and all fit in a very small zippered storage bag. I can't believe they are 13 pounders now at three months. Just 2 months ago they wore preemie clothes and diapers. Now the size 2 diapers are getting awfully tight. i look at my almost 11 year olds baby stuff and that really makes me cry. He is so big now we can share shoes and clothes.

I have kept one or two outfits for each size range but have passed on everything else. It is hard and I tear up every time I go through their clothes. They do grow fast. I have a storage bin for each boy and that's where I put each special outfit or "thing." That way I don't get too carried away plus I know I'm passing the clothes along/donating so it makes it a little easier to know someone else can get some use of them.
