Runny noses

DD has had a running nose all day...I feel like I am chasing her around with a tissue and wiping her nose every 30 seconds. What do you guys do? Do you just let it run and deal with the grossness (I don't even think that's a word) or do you wipe all day? UGH...I hate runny noses!

 

I wipe all day!
Both have runny noses now but are older than yours, so they will run to me asking for a wipe or tissue and will wipe their own.

 

I wipe all day, and have been all week!

I have balled up tissues in all my pockets and all over the house!

Thankfully we are almost over it. The girls have red noses now! I buy the tissues with lotion but it doesnt' help much!

 

I do something in between. I can't keep a runny nose snot-free all the time, but I wipe when it gets down to her upper lip or if it's really thick and gross.

Also, remember to put Vaseline or Aquaphor on the nose a few times a day -- it helps a lot (not with the snottiness but with keeping it from getting sore), especially if you start doing it before the skin gets sore.

 

My children hate me...but I do the "suck, suck" with the bulb syringe when it gets bad and then I wipe between those times (if they haven't already wiped their noses off on my shirt!!)!!!!!

 

I would wipe it when I could. I never used the bulb syringe, because my ped. told me not to since it can irritate their noses. Jon's nose ran from the time he was 4 months until he was 3 years, 1 month, and 2 weeks--the day he got his tonsils out.

 

Wiping all day ALL WEEK! We had their 12 month WBV on Thursday and he said it's due to teething which would explain why our whole gang is snotty right now :winking0009: .

 

there must be something everywhere cuz mine have been snotty the past 10 days. i wipe aaaaall the live long day they're actually much better at letting me wipe now
