We have seriously runny noses, that do not allow the kids to sleep because they cannot breathe freely.
I give them a lot of saltine water in their nose to clean it and give them at the worst 2 drops of otrivin for the night to help them sleep. What else do you reccomend?

I use the dreaded nose sucker that my kids absolutely hate. Over night, I prop up their mattresses with a pillow and use the humidifier with vapor strips to help out. Hope your kiddos feel better soon

We do use the bulb syringe (aka the "Booger Sucker" ;) ), and I've noticed that if I give them a bath at night, I can pull out what seems like miles of snot :bad: while they're in the tub. It's gross, but the warm water and steam really loosens up their nasal passages and starts things flowing. Also giving them lots of liquids like water helps to keep things moist and I think it makes their mucous more liquid and easier to deal with.

    I hate runny noses!

You may want to check with your pedi if it's ok and for correct dosages, but if it's really bad I will give them benadryl to help dry them up and helps them sleep. I also do the vick's plug in. Hope it clears up soon!

Like PP said, check with your pedi, but my doctor told us to use children's claritin and it works great!
