Roman blinds/roller blinds

Bought some Roman blinds for baby's room - they look good and keep the light out, but the pull ratio seems to be 4/1, such that to lower the full 1.5m of blind we need to pull ~6 metres of cord! It's also the 'anal beads' style of cord so there's friction buzz as it goes around.

Any recommendations for some Roman blinds that may have a better/quieter mechanism for our own bedroom? We'd need 1.5m drop and a width of 2.5m so appreciate that some companies don't make them that wide.

Would also consider roller blinds if they fitted neatly into a recess (have some very thin curtains outside the recess already which we'll be keeping, quote for adding blackout lining to them was extortionate!) and any Roman/roller blinds that have an electric mechanism such that we may feel like we live in the future.

    Thank you.

I was having the same issues figuring out what colours and fabrics would actually work in my space. I came across https://drapeful.com/ and found it super handy—you can see how different curtains will look in your actual room before you buy. Made picking out the size and style way less of a guessing game.
