    Anyone's babies roll over later than 4 months? Neither of mine have and I can't remember when my oldest did. I swaddle my dd a lot because she likes it and they both hate to be on the floor for too long (plus I am terrified to let them lay on the floor for long because my toddler thinks she's a dancing princess and might step on them :eek: ). Or, could it be they were born at 37 weeks and I should give it a few weeks? When should I really start to worry?

    I think you are fine, my development book says 2-5 months. Mine still are pretty inconsistent, DS can rolly belly to back but doesn't do it often and has never rolled back to belly. DD rolls belly to back all the time, but can only roll back to side, she can't make it all the way over yet.

    I think they are expected to do it some time soon. They asked about it at my girls' 4 month appointment. I don't know about the whole born early thing...my girls were born at 37 weeks but had no NICU time and were the size of full term singletons so I don't do the 'adjusted age' thing.

    I wouldn't worry just yet. My ds didn't roll until he was six months and we were going to physical therapy at the time {for his torticollis} and they weren't worried. My dd didn't roll until 8 months... I brought this up with the therapist and she said to just keep on working with her. They were both sitting up perfectly and doing all the other "milestones" so I tried not to worry {but I did anyway ;) }

    My one dd didn't roll over until she was 8 months old. She just had no interest in it. She was perfectly content to just hang out on her back or her side and she HATED tummy time from the first day I tried it. I do have to say though that once she did roll over, it was only 3 weeks later that she started crawling.

    Mine were over 4 months when they rolled over intentionally. Then they stopped for another month or so and just recently have they decided to purposefully roll.

    My DS rolled at 6 mos. and my DD never rolled. Yep, you got that right. She started sitting up and crawling without ever rolling. She is now one of the most coordinated toddlers I know! Go figure!!!

    Heck yeah. My son still only rolls from back to belly and my daughter has only rolled back to belly twice ever. They are 6 months, 1 week. My pediatrician said that rolling offers a wide variance and she isn't concerned at all. They are sitting up on their own for quite a while, and passing toys from hand to hand well, so other milestones are being met. My son is even army crawling through the house (backwards, but still!).

    My ds got the hang of rolling back to tummy last week. Now he is all over the house. I didn't think i would have to chase him this early.Lol. My dd has no interest in rolling,except from tummy to back. She gets to her side and almost over but her arm gets in the way. She loves just laying there with arms and legs flying all over. :)
    My older son never rolled, went straight to crawling.
