Austin and Miles are 4 whole months now! I can't believe how fast time has gone...

They were both rolling from front to back before 2 months, but then I got sick and we didn't get to tummy time every day while I was under the weather, so they sort of forgot. Now I have them on their tums every day, and Miles is rolling front to back like a champ and is almost on his way to doing back to front. Austin however seems to have no interest in it... he gets on his tummy and sucks his fist or has a nap... he can do a little push up, but he just doesn't want to push himself over. Both have really good head control, so it's a bit of a mystery why Austin isn't in to the rolling over thing.

Is this pretty normal? When did your kids start to roll around?

Other than this, they're doing really well.. Austin is very in to batting his toys around, and Miles is the king of the jolly jumper. They're super smiley little guys, and they are sleeping through the night. Couldn't ask for better kids! Here's some recent photos: Austin and Miles

My oldest ds didn't roll until 5-6 months, my oldest dd around 6 months, my twin ds around 4 months and my twin dd around 5 months.

There's a wide age range really of when they roll consistently, and at 4 months it's nothing to be worried about :) Also sometimes they'll master a skill like rolling, and then seem to "forget" how to do it while they work on mastering something else. It's really common and normal and all of a sudden they'll surprise you by rolling again! :)

My girls were born at the end of October and the first baby rolled on Easter Sunday, they were around 5 months old.

First of all...what handsome little guys! They are adorable! DS didn't roll over until 4 1/2 months and honestly my DD didn't start rolling over front to back, back to front for fun until she was 8 months old. Talk about being worried! Then the day I brought her home from her 8 month check up (after I had told the doctor how worried I was about her) she started rolling every where. In one day she learned to go from lying on her belly to sitting and then sitting to pulling up! That was something her brother had been doing for 2 months but she just worked at her own pace. It sounds like your babies are developing right on track so I wouldn't worry about it. With babies spending so much time on their backs these days, some babies do this way later or not even at all.

    4-6 months for mine.

Awesome pics. When I see your screen name I think of the giraffe in Madagascar (Melman?) with David Schwimmer's voice.

My bigger guy rolled at 5 months corrected and my little guy at 7 months correted. Every baby is different, hang in there once they start to move around a lot you might wish they didn't :)

DD rolled tummy to back once, at 11.2 wks, and hasn't done it since that I'm aware of. She sounds a lot like your Austin, in that she's strong, rocks the tummy time, but she'd rather suck her hand and take a catnap. She's very laid back. Ethan rolled tummy to back for the first time yesterday, at 18.6 wks. Must be a trip for him because he's performed that maneuver exactly 7 times since yesterday.
