it was sooo cute when DD learned to roll over. she would get really happy and smiley. and she can roll all the way across the living room floor. well-its not so cute in the middle of the night anymore <_< . she rolls over and gets to close to the railing on her crib, so she is stuck on her belly. she wails and gets really mad until i flip her over. sometimes she has herself so mad that she is wide awake and i have to take her downstairs and feed her for her to fall asleep. this is happening a couple times a night and usually they are such good sleepers!! any suggestions? ive already tried to stick a blanket around her!

Does she only roll in one direction?? I would work on going the other way during daytime play.
i just recently stopped being a human spatula :D My DS would forget he could roll back over - very annoying with every nap and several times at night!! It will get better with some time.

My DD does this and it is crazy. I am interested in hearing some more suggestions. Oh and she does roll both ways.

It's a phase, my DD did it for about 2 weeks, she has just now figured out (after me letting her work it out on her own during a nap) how to use the side of the crib to help roll her back over. I agree with a pp, do lots of practice during playtime and she'll get it eventually.

Not sure that the one way roll is the problem....ours both go both ways and are little inch worms both froward and back. They still get stuck every now and then. I figured our which way they tend to move more often and place them in the crib in the direct opposite corner. That way thay have a ways to go before they hit a road block. We use sleep sacs too, I think it makes it a little harder to move. I tried naps without them and it always ends with a body part sticking out of the crib.

I also had to just let them "figure it out" for themselves. Now DD loves to sleep in this half belly/half side position that looks really uncomfortable but she must like it since she does it all the time!
