When did they roll over for the first time???

My girls are 13 wks & they haven't even tried to roll over. They will sometimes roll on their side (esp Sarah) at night to sleep. But that's as far as we've gotten with that! Is it too early???

    Thanks ladies!

Mine started rolling from their tummy onto their back at somewhere around 4 months. Cameron still hasn't rolled from his back onto his belly and Evan has been doing it for weeks now.

I have late movers - :pardon:

Mia rolled about 5 or 6 months. She just started crawling at about 9.5 months

Emma didn't roll till 7 months and she is still not crawling.

I had a poll survey on all milestones a while back (here on TS), it is in the sticky at the top of the forum, the one with milestones.

These were the results on rolling over.

    Rolling Over
1 Month- 1 Child had rolled over
    2 Months - 7 Children rolled over
    3 Months - 12 Children Rolled
    4 Months - 14 Children Rolled
    5 Months - 9 Children Rolled
    6 Months - 6 Children Rolled
    7 Months - 2 Children Rolled

*So most children will/should roll by atleast 7 months, and can begin as early as 1 month.

Lorien rolled over at about 4.5 months and Arwen didn't roll over until about 8 months!! She kind of learned to roll over and then crawl within a couple of weeks.

2 days before their 4 month birthday for both of my girls from belly to back. They did this a few times but didn't start rolling all the way until 7 months.

Owen rolled tummy to back once at 2mo, but we think this was a fluke. Both began rolling back to tummy (the opposite of what they usually do) at just under 4mo.

Both girls rolled over at 3 months, within a day of each other.

Both of the girls rolled from back to tummy at 5 months, and are just now rolling from tummy to back.

They both started rolling over at about 12 weeks - Gabby rolls to the left and Alex to the right. Makes me wonder if ones going to be left handed & the other right handed... I did start tummy time real early on so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with them rolling over early.

Mine were both around 4 months. My DD did it a couple of times way early, but the Ped said it was probably a fluke. She didn't start rolling over consistently until 4 months old.

Ben started rolling between 5-6 months. Hannah never rolled. Seriously, she never did it. She got to a point around 10 months where she could just go into a sitting position from her back (like a sit up). Developmentally, she was just fine with everything else. But what a silly milestone to just SKIP!

Ours rolled from back to front at 5.5 months, that would be 4 months adjusted age for them. They have not rolled back yet.

My older daughter and the twins all did it at 2 months 1 week- but for my DD it was actual age, and for the twins it was adjusted age. The twins did it within 3 days of each other! And haven't stopped since. But it was pretty early compared to my friends kids; must be genetic or something.

    Good luck,

    Mellie

I can only tell you that as a 31 yr old ID girl twin I learned everything from my sister. My mom said I watched her stumble and stumble to walk...and I got up and walked. Same with riding a bike, tying my shoes and ....getting married! It will be amazing!

DS rolled from tummy to back at 4 months (and right off the couch ugh) and DD started to roll well at about 6 months but just wouldn't do it!! She didn't crawl till 10 mos and has already caught up to DS and is walking!
