Rolling front to back first?

Henry has a tiny head and petite body. When he gets into it, he is able to heft himself from front to back. I don't know if he is doing it on purpose because he usually does it when he is sucking his thumb really hard and gets really excited. My older son did back to front first. Anyone else have a baby roll the other way?

Both of my boys rolled front to back first. However, they were tummy sleepers so that would seem right to me.

I'm pretty sure mine did front to back first too. They hated tummy time and learned quickly how to get out of it!

DS hated tummy time and figured out pretty quickly to roll front to back. DD was content and had no desire to roll until much later. Even now at 5 1/2 months, she can do it but chooses not to. The funny thing is that DS has been rolling front to back for about a month and now has started to roll back to front in bed and then freak out because he wakes up on his tummy...it's like he forgets he can roll right back onto his back again. Babies can be so silly! :tease:

From what I have read, most babies move from front to back first. My girls both rolled front to back at 12 weeks and one started rolling back to front last week. Now it's like she doesn't know how to just lay on her back!

Nick did front to back first. In fact, they both rolled within days of each other, but for about a month, Nick could only roll front to back and Alex could only roll back to front. :D
